We refuse to listen to good advice

It boggles my mind.Humanity,for all it's worth,disses any advice that's beneficial to any person.
Friends (real friends) usually give better advice to others than to themselves.

Which led me to mention"the logic junkie" on you tube.David jack,a real philosopher just mentioned:"we love to nitpick at someone to feel better about ourselves","while ignoring the positive qualities about that same person".

Well said!I couldn't agree more.Which are exactly my same thoughts,and isn't it better to listen to some positive thoughts on advise from someone who can actually observe?Why,since all our inflated egos can't take anything that takes away from us being gods&goddesses-huh?say what?

To actually listen to someone you can learn something from would take just an ounce of humility.

Now I've scoured this planet for years and used to think almost everyone actually knew what they were doing.Maybe in a financial sense.Because that's all that matters today.

How many times have you heard someone poor say"it's not about the money".Exactly my point,because it IS about the money!This seems to be the only thing that matters to society,but not to me.

Advice comes in many forms.Now I'll turn it back to comics.When a brooding Odin conferred with evil stepson Loki for advice on his rebellious so Thor in "journey into mystery#104.Who continued to love the mere mortal nurse jane foster.When it was Odin who made Thor another humble identity as eartbound dr. don blake.This of course,could onle be in a comic!How many doctors are truly humble?Get my drift?

Odin,the wisest of all the gods asked the evil loki for his advice.A great message of what NOT to do!The point being.When we're eiher angry or at the most vulnerable.We should then work it out so our judgement isn't clouded.

Loki's advice was not good as Odin flattered him by saying:"you are wise Loki,what do you suggest"?Loki then,suggested to lordly Odin to go to earth to visit don blake,Thor's mortal identity.Odin split,temporarily gave Loki half his power and he unleashed Surtur&Skaag upon the earth.and we all know what happened there?

What I've observed through the years is we're all infallable/flawed,constantly making mistakes.Then,using the standard cop-out"i'm only human"!

To the media,the only culprits are the poor&working.The rich always get a free ride,not you or I.

Good advice is someone telling you about something healthy,or good stock advice.Without expecting anything in return.There is less of that today,and more&more superficial worshipping of sports gods,and oil barons,and being distracted by the mundane.Know who your REAL friends are.They're actions will eventually reveal it.Count on that.See you next week dear friends for another article&art about that same subject.I'm sticking to that format for a while.While preparing some new comics characters in the meantime to surprise you with.

Casting Call

My birthday which fell on saturday,dec.17th was an ambitious one.We were seeing actors for my upcoming "fanatikal" movie.

What I'd discovered first and foremost,most actors are lying flakes!Happily,most revealed themselves early with their unprofessionalism.Now I am not the most professional person but way more than these promisers!

About seventeen to twenty actors&actresses showed up from an ad I placed in "backstage" that ran me a cool $260.00 bucks!-Wow!

Being wary of revealing too much information on this column.On account of a boston filmmaker who recently contacted me through my you tube channel out of the blue.Having a film idea remarkably like my own.There are just too mant similarities so paranoia has it's own payoff.

In too deep at this point to change 3 drafts of the script.Honing it for the last one& a half years because the early dialogue was pretty crappy.

Most of the actors/actresses were cool but we had one that exploded saying:"I have to leave,because it's not fair to the other actors and I've been waiting here an hour"!

Did anyone tell this emotional wreck he(1.) was physically wrong for thorn and (2.) auditions are for waiting until your number's called.As I guess it's a crime to see people who are right for leads first?What egos!There was another chick who wasn't right either,for luna.Almost shoving her headshot in my shocked face:"I've been waiting here"."If you have further auditions I can come back""I have to leave"!Don't let the door hit you.

Getting angry at the creator of this whole drama won't endear you to my casting instincts.

There was also a guy waiting who later left that called himself "superstar something" who was probably too young anyway for the veteran vendor role.I don't think he knew the role was a few sentences.

Then there were two lovely actresses who read for the part of luna.Both were good,but only one has answered my email for the callbacks.Not two?That's why understudies are just a cell phone call away.

Me and my two assistants.Steve and rick worked the dv camera to capture the footage&help with the readings.

Lastly one guy I favored for the main villan was booked for 3:30 "oh oh looking forward to it"-flaked out and didn't bother to call.

The latest.We did cast both thorn(main villan) and the kid (coby) and have a luna or two showing up (apparently!) for further auditions on Jan. 7th.Along with several others.

All in all a pretty interesting day.Complete w/ a deaf/mute person who didn't read the cast breakdown and we lost our shabby tripod.Oh well on with the show!

Never put anyone's head above yours

Years back I'd driven a cab in nyc.Encountering an interesting person on his way to queens.After a conversation about some of my heroes,the passenger said to me "you seem to be impressed by people".To which I admitted yeah.Then,he said:"don't be,it'll always hold you back".Wow!It made a huge impression that has hit me like a wildfire lately.If I could have tipped him two thousand dollars I would have.Maybe it was an angel,a messenger,that'd given me a gift?A gift of making my upcoming 2nd movie.More grander than the first.Years ago I wouldn't have even considered the thought.

Asking for advice is one thing with any trusted associate,family member,lover,spouse,etc.,but the final decision is always made by you,the individual,and taking responsibility as I am irresponsible.It'll prevent you from blaming anyone,trust me.

Now I've always been a leader personally.A leader who in the past elavated mortals to gods too often all on account is they were my bosses,employers.and judges ha ha!

Since we're all gods in a way.Agreeing with marianne williamson "denying your true essence,your beauty/gift to the world.Squelching your spirit so that the insecure can feel comfortable isn't helping the universe.Any.So why should people cloak their charisma when you can help light up the world?As my old guru ed bergman said:"there's darkness out there and we need a few beacons".Also stating"people will want your enthusiasm.""Remember conforming produces more products,but the experiment produces more life"!

Today we are experiencing levels of darkness not seen since the dark middle ages.Never let what's going on in the world darken your light.If history repeats itself as nothing ever stays good or bad.Then the renaissance is coming..!

Life is a Classroom

With all of the negatives out there today.The ows,the move towards oppressive globalism.people harping on the stock market.Claiming it's a rigged game,etc.,etc.

Isn't it good dear folks that with the daily media propaganda bombardment of of every medication and designer disease out there.There's an alternative-Learning.

Improving one's skills along with keeping a positive attitude are essential in today's changing world.

Yes the mayans claimed it's ending this year,but what if this could be the biggest,positive change globally this world has ever seen?Think about that for a minute...

For some time now I've always viewed life as an eternal classroom of my choice.Not the prison of public schools(which is a whole nother' article).

Imagine,with the capabilities of the internet this classroom will keep humanity living longer.As the human brain craves stimulus as much as the senses.

How much can one learn in a lifetime?Personally I make up my own school of thought as I go .Meaning,depending what shift my life's taking at the moment.With some planning,but always open to any new thought,view,or door that may be open.

Closed thoughts lead to closed doors.An open mind is virtually unlimited.

Never,a few years back would I ever have considered myself an intellect,a philosopher,painter,animator,or filmmaker,or fledging you tube cultie.

The internet's made it possible for me to meet like-minded,wonderful fellow creators across this grand country,and spanning the world.

What was missing in the past,which I think of less and less.Was that my bio-familyfriends,and jealous people put me in this limited box that I listened to.Today I listen to no one but myself and all I can say is very few people forget meeting me.

Book of 100 Collages"

Comics and collages' are connected.When I was in catholic school ,That's when I first was introduced to them by the nuns showing me how to cut w/ small scissors very close to the images you want to use in the art piece of a collage'.

So with that said.I'm preparing a book of collages' called "cultural collision".It's a visual satire of what we are currently doing to each other in today's crazy,always changing world.The world has probably always been crazy,and each generation has lamented over:"we had it much rougher".

As I mentioned earlier comics and collages' are very similar mediums.Jack "the king" kirby did many in his marvel heyday and although mine aren't as epic or technological as jack's.He still left amazing ideas w/ me from all he did with this type of medium as I've been under their influence for some time.

Now mine are more just photo images with some painting,and artwork added.I have a marvel tribute collage' among the 100 that show nothing but vivid colors and superheroes,with some different layouts/styles.With one of the collage's in just text you may be bombarded about in your daily lives.Of course it's brainwashing too.

Most artist's doing this cut-out work today do all of it on the computer ala' dave mckean,who made all those sandman covers come alive.Photoshop is something I haven't mastered as of yet,but once I do (soon) I will start to work on the transparent new age/new school style.

In the coming book it may very well be art size 11"x17".It depends as I haven't seen the blown-up images yet from the mostly standard 8 1/2x11 in."

Making collages' to me are extremely fun and I may cut out 50 pictures from newspapers/magazines or so in an hour if I'm not disturbed (which I usually am).That's when I get to be edward scissor-hands but I don't do shrubs anyway.

All you need to make these are 8 1/2" art boards,a good small pair of scissors ,a glue stick and some imagination and you're all set.Enjoy these recent ones that will be part of the book and more on this later...

A Renaissance is Needed

With the occupy wall street revolution going on worldwide it seems.It's time to turn our attention to the lame corporate takeover of all of america's glowing art forms,music,art,comics,movies,theatre.Pop culture.Don't want to be a name dropper but I thought it was about fair competition which is very fair in sports,whether you like sports or not.Now it's reality television trends,connections,nepotism or boy do I sound bitter.

All bitterness aside.It should come down to stuff that has the most "wow",and for while in this town I haven't seen any.Wow me I'm waiting.Whoever thought up installations? Do me a favor and lethally inject them with talent for one.Most look like an upside down car w/ throw-up coming out of the convertible.Your telling me art buyers/collectors actually let other people do their thinking for them when all the evidence of the latest trend is so blatant,in your face.Since when did fashion take over the art world I don't know.Warhol certainly was stylish and pop.Warhol knew the art of painting is dead so he gave america,the world the front page,media,violence all w/ pop colors.Then came jean michel basquait.Now it's shepard fairey and banksy.Just started watching with relish"Exit through the gift shop"with banksy in it of course.There's also cameos by dennis hopper,jay leno and shaquile o'neal so don't let anyone tell you it's a real indy film.Not with that star power.

Then what about the unknowns?Who are probably more talented than anyone on the surface world.Who knows if they don't have their place to shine.I'm not sure when the renaissance happened and I don't care.Fifteeen/sixteen something.Around the time of shakes,rembrant,da vinchi,nostradamus and on to beethoven,mozart.People ought to backtrack on the internet including me to find out the real reason why?Were they just tired of war,joan of arc's burning at the stake,the inquisition.What drove the populace to say enough is enough with war.We want to have fun,to create,make out/party/make love and not be coerced by the town or government,telling them what to do and what they can't do.Enough is enough!We need a real renaissance and the time is now.The wall street protests are just the beginning my friends.

If the market is always deciding for us what is the free market then guess what?There is no free market.Which I'm told is true capitalism.Capitalism isn't greed which some ignorants think it's the free market,not controlled by corporations,taxes that squash the little guy/gal and you can make your own products and not be hassled by i'm gonna say it-government.

This isn't what our founding fathers wanted for us.I'm tired of the rise of corporations peddling us crap.I'm tired of what galleries spout off about how great art is.Looking at most I can see why art has taken to the streets,because joe mccarthy's ghost must be rolling in disgust.It is a house on un-american activities.We should be allowed to support ourselves with our own creativity,ingenuity, ambition which america was meant to be and is not.Which is why wall street may just be the the movement to get the creative engine running.

Oh,and I highly recommend banksy's "exit through the gift shop"-a true rebel.

J. Javits Comic Con 2011

Now another Javits comic convention is in the books.With the span/scope of this one apparent.It was no surprise that this is the 2nd biggest one next to san diego.

Comics were only part of it.As video games,babes,cars,and freaky fame wanna be's ran rampant across the crowded Javits center floor,hoping to be the next you tube sensation.

This was a three-day convention.Four if you were a vendor.I'd arrived saturday afternoon.Taking the bus to fifty seventh from uptown,and walking to thirty eight &eleventh.Only bringing my cell phone and my flip camera.Ready to film freaks,curvy cuties and whoever had the snazziest,best costume.

Most people were pretty nice.Fun for the whole family type of thing,after comic seller gary arrived at the door w/ my exhibitors badge.

Not liking the way that bright light lighting my face.I'd decided to let the images of the chaos spinkle my storytelling video.

Purchasing some magazines,and classic comics from my friend's table.I'd then ventured off to film some colorfully-garbed eccentric characters who proved to be exhibitionists and were friendly enough.This show more than any was a precursor to halloween.Some mere two weeks away.

Day two I wanted to collect more comics and get more footage to upload to the internet,but before any of this happened.I went to the information desk for directions.Being lost for twenty minutes.

There were famous comic artists,celebrities,publishers,kids,families,goth chicks,freaks,raffles,seminars and throngs of fans who couldn't get enough of the of the mayhem.Bags of books and twenty minutes of footage called an end to my fan weekend.

Take a gander at this great Marvel Tales#147 (1956) cover by bill everett,and a beautiful 5 page story by steve ditko called"The vanishing Martians".It's a little crooked&stuff but enjoyl !

Hey folks as I've mentioned before.Here's some more "hotel distortion" pages from the upcoming (one of these days soon) graphic novel by the same name-Seriously.

My intentions are usually almost always good.Notice I said usually, not always.Anyway here are many other pencilled pages for any surfing visitors who haven't seen.I'll certainly try to keep more consistent.As I'm now learning the complicated features of the new Imovie.Love the features but hate the complication.

This r-rated graphic(novel),remember it's a comedy.Should be around 75 pages.Around what this indy movie shot on digital video would probably look better as.Then people it will be back to some other graphic novel ideas I'd like to see both printed and published.There's maybe an unusual way I have to presenting any thing across to the public,nor am I confessing.I've never claimed to be a businessman.It's also a growing process.As I'm situated now between the film world,animation and comic books.

The Techno Revolution

With the advent of a new,wireless gimmick coming out it seems every month,it's safe to call the 21st century the technological revolution.

Remember at the turn of the 20th century it was the industrial revolution.Where fresh air was treated as a hate crime.

In my opinion and it's just an opinion,technology's gone way too far for me.Crying out "enough is enough"!

These times should also be called,the digital age.One of the biggest positives is that anyone can now make a feature movie today cheaply.Then edit,burn a disk and send it out.

While inexpensive digital,hd and flip cameras have leveled the playing field making it anyone's game.A lottery race called stardom isn't held to any standards of excellence as sports is.At least,whether you like sports or not.The best players play.There's a sense of fairness there.

When former president ronald reagan spoke of the "star wars" program in the late eighties.It was a war against privacy and freedom.As the world is shaping towards a globalist techno-prison of ultra-trendy wireheads.Who would rather be trendy instead of exhibiting any traces of personality.Which only comes from any individuals,unique,original life experience,that only he or she can feel.

The problem with all of this in this fast-paced world of gadgets and circuitry.Is that it's blending millions of people together as one entity.Fine if it will change this corporate reality,but most likely individuals are quickly becoming extinct.Maybe I live in a different matrix(reality) than some.Then I look around and see less and less truly special people whose thoughts aren't from mtv.Getting lost in the sea of millions.

One great idea would be to make a computer that never crashes,or needs new software.Sensing futuristic drug pimps of the latest hipster gadget.

Stay in the competitive operating systems or just drop out and be left behind is the message behind all this.I'm sure by now you've heard of that blackberry crash that's been going on for three days.Embrace the setback as a blessing until it's fixed.It might cause humans to actually talk to one another.

Growing up my view on humanity was that people in the role of authority,or power had your best interests covered.Call me cynical I won't mind.The big boys at the top are not covering your back.Not when it stands in the way of profits for our real countries,the corporations.

With the increasing regulations on anything from having a garden in your backyard and growing your own food.Which is now a violation to government or state.

Vitamins which supplement the nutrients that most of our foods are missing are becoming increasingly expensive.Need proof?Shop at fairway supermarket for example.Whose vitamin department is by the way,excellent!Buy about seven jars of vitamins&minerals and see where your bill is closer to.

With the controversial issues surrounding social security and the retirement age being raised (worldwide) i might add.The lie behind all this is,of course"people are living longer today".Have you read the obituaries lately?

From what I've discovered is people are passing the plane earlier and record numbers of americans are getting diabetes,cancer and heart disease from the air,our water,and more importantly in our daily foods.

This blog isn't being written to bum anyone out it's a dire warning to "eat fresh".No not subway or any fast frankenfood,but in eliminating white flour products altogether,bleached rice and breads.It's much better to eat only whole wheat&grains.The big problem is you have to read all labels.Anything modified i keep ten miles from I don't prefer synthetics(frankenfood) over
organic thank you.Corporations are now putting genetically-modified corn starches in our breads,high fructose in all our sweets&sodas.Hydrolized oil is another word for msg if you like migranes.

Now healthy organic food is being outlawed but no one is punishing out of control corporations who are soft killing us as easy as busing a table at lunch hour.Slow poison is still poison and I decided long ago to take my health into my own hands.It's not that I don't trust anybody?

"Disaster Consciousness"

It used to be one-a-day multible vitamins instead of the almost every day disasters invading our our daily piece of mind.Or it's psychological terrorism which once naive minds need not know.

The recent catastrophe in midwest's missouri have devastated the land leaving many thousands of people homeless.

Tornados are incredibly powerful and scary as evidenced by watching the "wizard of oz"classic movie,but that was kansas.

I've heard of birds,opossums and coyote's migrating when their environment's challenged and I hate that word.

Then what will happen when eminent domain and the next disaster invade your town leaving it an apocolyptic "damnation alley"which was a cult classic in the late seventies.

The internet provides even the most ignorant unlimited access to limitless forbidden knowledge.All hail the information age" that makes us all a sage".

Everyone seems to be a critic.A new nostradomus born every day.All you need do is install weathe.bug.com on your computer and trust me that freaky noisy bug will sound off at any new rainstorm but tornados in the northeast?One hitting queens here in new york last year.

I'm from the school of suspicious activity that doesn't seem normal but that would be trusting your instinct's which all were meant to do.A few years back a military general was quoted as saying:'by 2005 we'll have control of the weather".

Sound outrageous?No one seems to want to investigate abnormal happenings except me and I'd just prefer to pursue my artistic ambitions and to express myself creatively making a mark.

The distractions are daily.The media spun out of control and when I want to hear music a get one slew of commercials that bombard my brain with the next designer disease.I was watching saturday night live last night in between commercials was another brainwashing from channel 10"if you see something (smell) say something".Talk about an Orwellian rat out society that's being developed.So more and more I forego regular television and radio for cd's/dvd's to control my own thoughts living in joy.

No I will not store canned food never liking spam or will not plug into climate change politics as the weather's been changing since the beginning of time.

Living in abundance is my reality not the current fear-scape.If you can just trust in your own abundance i've come to know that everything will be provided believe in that-Too outrageous?

Hi folks.Finally the finished page of a new short series called "I found the Mars Monster".Remember way back when I started promising a rose garden of comics?Well here's the closest thing-a professional finished page the way the pros work or used to work as times have changed.Now computers (unfortunately/though I have changed) have gone to the forefront of multi-media society.It's getting oh so close to to science fiction.So I need to show you some of my own.This page is the first of a short series.Now as of yet I haven't decided how many pages,but mostly in the range of 5-10 max.So let me know anyone out there.My website I feel as far as Mars by so many viewing comments,or of not being able to wait,the drama/action is so much I can hardly bear.Ugh there I've said enough till' next time dear friends.Please let me know of your viewership and what ideas you might love to see and I'll try to complete that small wish.Short stories that is.We'll do our best to upload the next in no longer than a week to 10 days.Things have sure changed for us at Cinematic now if we/I can just get those computer color/lettering programs down we'll have really succeeded.-Onward!

Hi folks! When last we spoke I went into a hoopla about one-a-week strips and all that.

Anyone surfing to my fun site must know by now that anything I say isn't written in stone.Well as a person yes,but as a web up-loader no,I'm as mutable as the mutable sun sign that I fall under,which is Sagittarius.

Sagittarius by nature(my nature) hate deception and I'm never trying to deceive anyone here.

What there is and will be is now "All Comics All The Time"from now on.

If there is any break off from that,meaning a week or two just writing,or recent cool photos,or my pop art collages' I'll let you know beforehand.

Cinematic comics for now is a two-man show.Anyone outside of robert a. falls is a hired mercinary (freelance computer person)until I master the remaining lettering,web design skills I need to further myself in.

For you hard core art fans I'll also this week be signing up at the art student's league still life drawing classes.As I will be drawing the nude people to complete my always growing art/life skills.

You can never be too good at what you do so keep growing...or.....or-you stay stagnant, stuck in a box of no change.Change is sometimes scary but always good!

Taking a class,practicing,expanding your social network.Reaching,touching fans across the globe who might actually appreciate what you do.

Oh yeah,I would love to know as sometimes I can be an attention junkie--Sometimes?

Hey folks!This is the finished page.It's called "The Shadow Corporation".Is it fiction or something that's based on present day reality,you decide.This little project in itself had pencils,then inks,then text from the ol' computer and finally,coloring.These were done using D. Martins dyes (watercolors),never liking computer colors.I may be changing and going to Photo-shop after this sloppy but entertaining upload.

So enjoy.

Weekly Pages-11x17 SCANNER

Hi everybody,as I've promised earlier I'll try to keep consistent on this blog(weekly).

Finally my Mustek 11'x17"bad boy has arrived(scanner) which is perfect for uploading comic pages is here.

Meaning anyone who draws comics needs these dimensions has to know photoshop(which I don't know yet)to piece together.So that means the website blog will have constant updates-that means comics.

Most likely weekly comics,batting around a few ideas.I've considered doing 1-page comics on different subjects I find interesting and hoping that'll interest you in return.

Some branch out to three-to-five page jaunts.The strips themselves will have text and dialogue boxes explaining the deeper.developing plot of where it's all leading to.

It seems when I uploaded a few recent pages on Facebook now everyone's doing it.So I'm paranoid no one's looking at me.

That's it for now hope you tell me how much you enjoy this or future pages,and appreciate it when anyone likes the weekly comic strips.Would love to hear your feedback.

One thing of note.I'm uploading today just the pencils and I'll have the finished strip for you later this week(pause)...is anyone surprised oh well.It's been long week folks the gods must have conspired against me.

HOTEL DISTORTION/FANATICAL UPDATE

Presently,the hotel distortion graphic I'd talked about before is 3/4 inked.Then more dialogue will be added,and further it will be colored/lettered and printed.

Again,this is a different jaunt than my usual super-hero/sci-fi/action adventure kind of yarn.Even though it's 100% american-made it's got a more euro-adult oriented feel to it.Which means it's for the above eighteen drinking age crowd.

There's some tasteful nudity,sex and drug use so I want to forewarn anyone,and it's a screwball comedy from this independent 2001 movie my friend jack and I shot way back when.Haven't the foggiest clue who might want to read hotel d except some way-out-fans in france but the visuals are kicking.Since this art is a much different slice than the mysterious woodsman.The book's frames are all from photography.Some panels seeming to have a 3-D effect.

Longing to finish this soon I'll try to get a publisher,maybe paragon press which published "ghostworld because of it's beyond R-rating?

Then shoot this darned new movie idea that has to do with the comic book world.Which if I get a few celebs to participate in they'll be immortalized forever in the next graphic on this very same subject.So dear friends,take nothing for granted,live each day like the last and express yourself beyond twitter.I'll see you hopefully next week with a new comic strip and other future surprises.Be good.

"The Face"

That wacky character known as the mysterious face was first seen last halloween(2009).

He's an entertaining,sometimes shocking individual.First made with a cheap five dollar mask from a nearby card and trick shop.

So it was only fitting the man known as "the face" make his first classic upload on the tube on october 31st.

Now after fourteen pretty cool videos.Videos that have a horror,mystery and comedy edge.

These webisodes are sometimes scripted,sometimes spontaneous.With the main focus being,sharing some laughs,and provide freaky,unpredictable entertainment.

This lady from japan said the face was "scary"but funny in one of the many comments.With the face becoming a hit in many countries around the world.The most recent had a subscriber saying:"I love the face channel".Well he doesen't have his own channel yet,but thanks for help spinning ideas.

The face is not for everyone,isn't pg rated.Doesen't venture into politics much.He likes art,pumpkins and even owls in his videos.

At the moment he needs to find his trademark red bandana.Which was lost in the halloween parade.As he readies his next face webisode.In the meantime?Enjoy the comic strip and I'll see you next time.

Halloween Parade 2010

Every year new york city stages one of the biggest halloween evening parade extravanza's in the world.I believe it's sponsored by the village voice?don't quote me though.Being that I'm lazy about research on things I could care less about.

The parade isn't one of them.Lately I've been acting like one of those people who doesen't wan't to miss out on anything.

For the last two years I've gone to the annual halloween and haven't regretted it.
Bring my flip camera and pretty much point it at any hams who smile,are interesting and crave their 15 minutes.

Last year I'd gone alone because my colorful,eccentric and most of the time obnoxious friend jack backed out.This time was a different story.We both made plans to bring our cameras.Finding out later that jack didn't recharge his battery enough.

We hooked up around four-ish sun. afernoon.While I kept him waiting at big nick's.Our own signature googie's-type hang out.I had my reasons okay (excuses).Finishing up my first jack-o'-lantern pumkin in years!

We'd grabbed a bite and the plan was simple.Planned to arrive six-ish or seven when the parade would get kicking.

Boarding the train with costumed partier's proved where the action would be this night.

It started way downtown at spring and 6th avenue.A cop showed us the way in to the corraled entertainment.Once we got in there was freedom within that cage.

There were colorful costumes,pretty girls,freaks,eccentrics.Where the ace ventura lookalike host blurted out over the disco-like music"dance motherfuckers".It's featured on the almost ten minute clip on you tube entitled "face14" complete with comic art panels.

JACOB JAVITS COMIC CON

For anyone that didn't know.This past weekend(Oct.8th,9th&10th) was the yearly jacob javits comic convention.

When I arrived to the convention on sunday (last day).What amazed me raw,were the numbers of people on the last day of the show.The place was packed!I'd be late for my own demise,but after arriving by cab with my almost ten boxes of comics.Which I'd loaded on a hand truck,and proceeded to call my friend's cell.See,he's a comic dealer/buyer.

The man's name is gary dolgoff of gary dolgoff's comics from easthampton ma.Now the jacob javits center's the size of of spaceship,or an aircraft carrier.With I believe five floors.The only problem was the third floor which was the comic dealers floor was one of two unrelated floors.

There I was with a hand truck full of bungee-corded books.Lost,with first a broken elevator.Then trying to fight my way through the frantic comic crowd.

After calling gary.He'd explained he was in aisle 2600.Gary I said:"I'm here I've got the
comics",with the free hand truck thrown in,and it took me a half hour to get to you.

"No problem"said gary.Then I promptly parked my stuff.Hung my jacket.Grabbed my sony flip hd camera and sauntered off to shoot some freaks,as in footage.

Some chick dressed in a jester outfit would be my first victim,I mean model.Explaining "do you mind"holding up my flip.Saying something like"uh batman right"?

It was actually the harlequin character.She didn't answer me.Just lifted her arm in some "freakshow"dance."Cool" said I.After a little more footage.Needing to find "artist's alley"where in some psychic way comic icon jim steranko was miraculously still there.The stars usually leave by this time if it's slow.Not this time comic fans.(Oh by the way I bought a neal adams batman t-shirt).

I hadn't seen jim in several years although we'd met up several times before.Yes,you could say were on a first name basis.We talked comics/even business as jim will do comic covers on a consignment basis,but movie posters maybe as his schedule permits.As I mentioned my secret movie project to him.Hush hush...!Then I split.Shot some more footage as the camera was almost empty.

Back at gary's table with my proud exhibitor's badge present.Scoping the comic book boxes at a now crowded table,filled with eccentrics.My hand truck somehow dissappeared.When some dude brought it over saying"thanks for letting me use it"-Thanks?Really-You never had permission in the first place.Talking with some peole,looking through yet,more books.I'd again taken my eyes off my hand truck and now it was missing (again).

Bummed,I sulked "it's going to cut into my comic profit with gary".As I'd promised the neat hand truck as part of the deal.Then,as we picked up quite late.By now giving up hope.Pushing a cart.There it suddenly was next to me."Hey I said-that's my hand truck"!With guilt written all over this punk's face he then said:"Take it-Sorry....Sorry?

All in all I met stekanko again,picked up some choice books,made some money.Cleaned some unwanted junk from my place and we all had a fine dinner at big nick's with gary and all the fun crew.So again,not so bad.Pretty good in fact.

When I'd first arrived in new york city.My very first apartment was in the heart of greenwich village.A natural place for any artist or the one I was to become full time.Especially me and my needs,artistically of course.It felt like home in all the constant craziness that is manhattan.What I liked was there was more of a community in that area.

Then again before I left boston.I'd been in acting class in central square in cambridge.Which,thinking back was one of the most enjoyable times of my life.Getting on the highway in my pontiac catalina.On the highway.Leaving the little town of canton,ma.Culturing my mind in the very artsy,free spirit of cambridge.Next door to boston.

This was a few years after being a liberal arts major at cape cod community college down the cape.

Getting back to new york.After settling here many years.Realizing my destiny as a true bohemian.

Having breakfast with my entertaining,obnoxious falstafian friend jack at big nick's on the upper west side.A place of solace,very similar to the village where I no longer live,but still reminisce about still.

You see jackle's had just driven to the big apple from pearl river,just over the george washington bridge.Jack had hit one of his favorite lesbian nightclubs on a photo shoot in full party mode.(Don't ask me to explain further)He called me at work on my break.At that time he'd just left the club,and uttered he'd like to hang for breakfast at nick's,but he'd have to nap in his car for a few hours.Beating me to the fav watering hole at 9:30.I was about fifteen minutes late.There was jack with his big camera bag,and his lesbo fetish notebooks of indescipherable scribble only a mind like his can understand.

That is the music of jack.Despite all the fights/arguments I have with his sometime agitating spirit.My brother asked "why do you keep igor around"?I dunno.I guess he's both fun both and immature.During breakfast we'd discussed in detail how the artist scene is changing.Is all becoming techno-digital.Jack then mentioned"they're trying to kill off the bohemians".Sipping my java I mused.Might as well milk it till' the end.The waitress smiled and seemed to like our presence there.

The Screenplay's Finished!

If any might remember back several months earlier.You might have heard that I was working on a screenplay.Now it's finally finished-Yay!

Now I don't want to throw roses on myself,but writing a full length 120 page screenplay is not chopped liver.Besides I don't like liver.There's still some slight cutting(visuals),or adding of dialogue and then I will be submitting it to a few name actors/actresses I have in mind.They have every right to refuse of course,and if they do.There are only two options left.(1.)Send the script to any other actor choices that come to mind.Or(2.) save big bucks and go with my own people(complete unknowns).

Which to me is fine,but won't help me get into sundance or any other major film fest.

Like the great elia kazan I believe in unknowns.Isn't everyone unknown at some point?Until that person gains commercial success?Tell that to hollywood who's only belief is in the well-connected "sure thing".

To me I find this repugnant!When was the exact year people stopped believing in the dark horse,meaning long shots.

Not revealing the actor(s) I have in mind that I'd like for fear of sounding like an outing,name-dropping fool.

The main part(lead) that still needs to be cast.Is for a mature 40's-50's still beautiful latin woman.Who's a nanny that has a very interesting hobby(her belief system).Sorry-that's all I'll reveal for now.

The other part meaning some well known character actor.Who most likely won't read this.Is a villan who's dark,violent and the leader of a gang of goths.Around the same age range,40's to 50's.He's got a rocker look,is sophisticated,and quite nasty when he doesen't get his own way.

There are a few other supporting ,smaller parts for a gypsy card reader.A media woman,a young boy of 8-9 years old,and an older latin woman.Who's luna's next door neighbor.

The most difficult part won't be (believe it or not)getting one or two famous people in these parts.It will be securing all the locations I need for the shoot.

The professional actors (if cast) will need to agree to work.Under something called the sag ultra-low budget agreement.Movies made for under $200,000 dollars.

Oh, the budget will be quite lower,but will have I promise big-budget results!Remember "paranormal activity"?The script is quite good,original&independent.Again,all I can offer someone listening is opportunity!Please heed my phantom call.Is anyone alive out there?I will leave you with a mysterious drawing of my antagonist villan for now.Yes,the work is copyritten.Will tease you with more later...Hymmm?Take care.

WHY ARE SUPERHEROES SO POPULAR?

A friend I had a drink with recently.Suggested the reason comic book superheroes are so popular in movies.Stems from the fact we truly have few role models today.Hollywood movies reflect it.In truth,no one,o k,very few humans today seem to stand for anything in opposition to the horrible fear of media backlash.It never scares me.

Our (american)media has become a career ending witch hunt juggernaut.Reflecting mirrors to both the inquisition,and the witch burnings way back in pilgrim times.

Anyone who's surfed my site knows I'm one who speaks in an honest,straightforward manner,and if it offends any soul.Which is never my intention.Please move on to more phoniness elsewhere as "surf's up"on the internet.

Being one of strong views on several subjects.The topic here is superheroes,and why are they still so popular?

Well for one.They believe in protecting the so-called wo-and-man.Mankind.Perhaps because of the gifts they've received.From either radiation or being chosen/blessed from aliens.Which the upcoming "green lantern" will demonstrate.

Think I don't know what I'm talking about?Thor always had his power,but needed to be humbled by godly odin.Having a mortal identity as a lame doctor with a physical disability.When he gets tires of his humble pie.Then stamps his cane becoming a super-powered god.Protector of earth.Whereas captain america volunteered to serve his country.Risking his life in the progress.

See these heroes did stand for something....hymm?Does the common man stand for anything in present day(midgard) earth?

If you prodded most mortals.We all dream,desire and are told that through hard word in slave labor that it's all possible.

Not true mortals.So we seek shortcuts and terrible role models.

All day at my other identity.Humble working man as a proofreader at a certain law firm.Longing to don that colorful costume,mask,or more noble part.Meaning,being a benefit to society,not a detriment.

Society has blinded us with slick media lies that border on science fiction,not real life.Trouble is,when most of us figure out the real deal.Our balloons of enthusiasm pop.When seeing through this game of lotto russian roulette.

While you can probable tell I pine for reminiscing better times.There actually was a time a teacher/coach/boss/hollywood director believed in some bad boy/bad girl not named angelina jolie.Who,with a little encouraging/hard work was convinced would become a beautiful swan.It seems like everyone except me dosen't have the guts to put their "precious" reputations on the line or a chance at greatness.Instead we settle for mediocrity.Their was a time in the past when I put others heads above mine.That reality has changed fortunately,and I am the better for it.

FUTURE COMICBOOK MOVIES

After just watching the recent d c movie "jonah hex"and liking it.I'm glad I watched it opening weekend.As it only made something like 6 million in the first weekend,and by the looks of the expensive budget.Signaled it's doom.

This of course hasn't stopped hollywood from jumping off the superhero train.

First off bat.We have a new spiderman lead for the upcoming spiderman#4.A british actor named andrew garfield.Say what?You mean the actor who played the jealous guy.Vying for the comely female lead's attention in the short-lived "the imaginarium of dr. parnasus"opposite the late great heath ledger.Hope mr. garfield loses his british accent for this one?

Then,there's the "thor" movie that's slated for may 2011.For you fan's out there of the original book.There's already fresh clips on you tube right now.I have ambivalent feeling about it now,but I was told by a friend at work that thor will will be wearing his famous winged viking helmet.I'm so relieved!Call me a superhero perfectionist,but why dress the noble thunder god in black leather?Like all the rest of marvel's creations.This wasn't the way creator jack kirby envisioned him.The cast has sir anthiny hopkins as odin,natalie portman as nurse jane foster,and newcomer chris hemsworth as the mighty thor.

There's also a british actor that's playing evil stepbrother loki,the god of evil.The movie will also have the metallic destroyer as the other villian/threat.

For starts.Why desecrate thor's great costume?Typical marvel/hollywood dumbed-down drek for the nihilistic movement?Not respecting the costume of thor really gets my feisty temper enraged even further.But sure,go see it!I will.Yeah,the special effects look well,godly,but how bout' some artistic integrity hollywood?A better idea would be for some director/filmmaker drawing a line in the sand.Saying I don't want to alienate the baby-boomer crowd any further.

Also we have the 2011 "cartain america"movie with chris evans in the lead.Say what again-Wasn't he the human torch in the fantastic four movie?Talk about spreading the wealth.Not a good choice in my mind.Casper van diem a very underrated/fine actor who looks like cap .Would have been much better in the lead.If this wasn't bad enough.The green hornet movie's also premeiring soon.Save your money!It's a total joke!Watch the clips on you tube if you don't believe me.Where's the new van williams/bruce lee lookalikes to whet fanboy appetites?Seth rogans a fine comedic talent,but the green hornet?It looks like the same bad comedy iron man#2 turned out to me.

NEW AGE OF DARKNESS

For any of you like me that just watched the phenominal movie"centurion",which i'd highly recommend.About the dark ages of 117 a.d.Guess what? They're starting more and more to reflect the dark times of today.

Back then people in the country just lived off the land.Were one with nature,and weren't held hostage by the money system.Where is all this going?At the moment people are being swayed right and left by the constant updates of an unsure future.

If all of this constant upheaval in our lives isn't unsettling enough.Just over our shoulders is the mayan's 2012 world demise prediction.Do I buy any of this,or the current fear of hurricane earl?Not for one minute.Unless I witness flying trees I'll continue to play outdoors.As life is only precious when your actually living it.

Need more proof?

Last movie I'd watched before "centurion".The equally bloody,though not nearly as brilliant "expendables".Before the movie started I had to have a tazer blast full of extra fear.With the words followed by an ominous voiceover coming straight from homeland security saying:"Beware of suspicious activity".My answer-Why?We've never had to beware of anything more than the disclaimer that cigarettes may cause cancer on that pack of smokes.

Now I always try to remain positive no matter the situation.What I mean by all this,my friends is.We're always bombarded by negative words,images of what substances can do to your body parts.Read any periodical or newspaper.You'll see the words diabetes,cancer,autism if you look hard enough.Then for your topping on all this ice cream.Your told too many people are out of work.So appreciatte your non-career soul-sucking job you need to pay your always escillating rent and/or costs of living.

This article isn't being written dear friends to focus on the negative.It's to see through all of this dogma.Why we constantly have to be reminded of negative things,and I for one,have had enough of it.

Perhaps you've heard this on the radio"you joined the national guard and your college is completely paid for"?Never in my lifetime when a democrat's been in office.Have there been so many advertisements for the military.Never...

To me those who join the armed forces.Are helping feed the beast.This must end.So must bad entertainment,and reality television.Had enough?There's always mixed martial arts to fill your chalice of bloodsport lust.Or the gmo food we're being force-fed.
Paranoid...Oh just a tad.

People have to turn off the control tube-(television)and stop being part of the matrix.

The tolerance the globalists tell you to have,the mosque,distractions.Are blinding you to the real "wizard of oz" behind the curtain.Who is terrified of being brought into the light we seek.For fear of exposure.

As I've mentioned before.Not being one for percentages.But at least seventy per cent of the population now get their news from the internet.Than the daily("rag") newspaper.

Which means newspapers like the new york times,the chicago sun times,the L A times,the boston globe are losing grips on our minds,opinions and wallets.

It couldn't come at a better time.Our liberal media.If you're ever read the n y post,the daily news or the n y times.All of these papers lean to the right in their opinions/stories.

These are greatly changing times,and with all the cynicism in our election processes.Now people are finally seeing that republicans or democrat.It's two sides of the same coin.Obama is showing us that.Weren't democrats supossed to rid us of war?That was the case until barack obama flip-flopped the needs of the party he was to represent.Now the waiting time for bringing home our(mercenaries) i mean our soldiers.Because that's what they are.Bringing the troops back from iraq is going to take longer.Then obama broke his word and sent a slew of other troops to afghanistan.Meaning this is all proving that if you vote for bankers choice candidates.Thrown at you from money-raising lobbyists.Then my friends you are just as stupid as I used to be years ago.

Politics are not my specialty.Which is why we need more people across the globe to write,blog or record their views and simplt upload them.

The real wizard of oz is starting to be revealed to us from behind those smoke and mirror-filled curtains.That would be the real madmen that actually run everything from the food you ingest.The clothes you wear.the brainwashed thoughts you think you own on a daily basis.The soul-sicking control freaks who if it was up to them.There would be no alternative anything!Alternative to the bilderberging power brokers is sundance,grunge,rap,installations,anime'and more and more upgrades to technology.Things that advertisers assure us we can't live without daily.When I'm here to tell you WE CAN live without half this life complicating crap.

The point here to all this is that there's a whole world of choices out there.If one would only just seek them out.

That was until the internet blazed upon the scene like a raging bonfire.The internet that the corporate media.Only call it corporate media because that's all it is.The same internet that the corporate controllers seek to neuter,or stop altogether.Just like our pimp communist china.

It's too late to stop the damaging expose' library that's out there on google,lycos,imbd or you tube.

The sources are infinite.All you need to do to investigate or research is the ability to be able to type,and the super highway to an alternative world is there.

Or you can go back to time magazine.To me all journalism is another "ism' to be avoided like the h1n1 virus.It is the cheapest,most dumbed-down form of non-writing out there.Similar to the info-tainment news that's read to us every morning straight from those free metro newspapers which are pure garbage.

If anyone wants to read.Read hemingway,kafka,kerouac.Something good for your intellect.

Or simply reads blogs.Good blogs.Particapate in them to get the REAL pulse of unsatisfied customers.Who want to return the mediocre goods being sold to us non-stop and the life affirming freedom that will result when we decide to push them aside and end this nonsense once and for all.

OIL SPILLS & OTHER DISASTERS

Just recently,as you know was the b p oil spill disaster in the gulf of mexico.Which unfortunately didn't surprize me.As man-made disasters have become the norm.

America has become the environmental polluter of the world recently.All for profit,greed and criminal negligence.Minus any punishment or accountability.

First of all.What were we drilling in the middle of the ocean for?In the event of a screw up.Drilling on land for oil makes much more sense.Because 1./the clean up can be easily controlled and with minimal damage.Always believing in the powers of nature as bad as this is.Nature eventually will clean our oceans as well as our air.

2./Because nature is more powerful.More magnificent than anything that man can,or will ever produce.

So therefore,ask yourself-are we any better than animals?The answer of course,is no.

Oil is a natural resource that wild creatures never tap,or abuse.Nor do they deficate or pollute where they live.Guess what?-Man does.Animals have much more sense than todays "in-humans" because they feel.witness,observe nature,and know they are part of it,as one being universal.

We humans on the other hand.Assume we are separate from nature and try to play the role of god.

Wouldn't it be easier instead of trying to create more anti-human technology.To instead,finally focus our creative energies on alternative energy sources?Solar energy,instead of nuclear?Or electric cars.Cars that can run on water or basically anything but oil(gas).

That day will never come my friends.These oil baron(pirates) would sooner die than give us their trust funds to a group of peasants.

As evidenced by this and other recent disasters.America has become an embarrassment.A blight on the world,but people outside of the grand ol' usa have to realize that most of us are good.It's the out of control,unaccountable corporation called the united states of america that's the cause.Not the people.Put the restrictions back on the banks and corporations that have caused all this mess.Instead of our own privacy ane freedoms.Is that green"enough for ya'?

"ON SCREENWRITING"

To anyone who has ever thought of.attemped or has actually written a sceenplay.My hat's off to you.Especially making something great.Which isn't too often nowadays.As howard stern once stated "go to the top heads of hollywood"there's mediocrity out there." A script that someone may actually enjoy turning the pages of,is never easy.

This,of course can be accomplished with constant,dedicated hard work.Even if one only writes five pages a day.-Do the math.

In just one month at five pages a day.That's one hundred&fifty-five pages.One month at gour pages a day would net someone a full-length screenplay at one hundred and twenty four pages.-Not bad!

Why am I mentioning this?Because this fledging "screen player"is at a full 107 pages,and maybe by the end of this june.Will be finished with my first screenplay.One that's not just satisfactory to my own standards,but one that's actually good.

Writing a screenplay has(up to this point) in my life.Been a major hurdle in my own "field of dreams".But that field is soon about to become a reality.I can more than "feel it".It seems some devine hand is guiding my every word/scene/Although I must admit to some wishing/chanting/incense burning/positive music playing/walking.All help keep the fires of creativity stoked.

Looking at a blank page on a typewriter/computer screen is enough to freak anyone.This is not the way I prefer to work.

First,you need peace and quiet.Maybe a bathtub and just a pen¬ebook to get started.Works for me usually.

You need to bring some enthusiasm to the table.What is a screenplay exactly?Well I would say it's a play that's extremely visual.Another good way to get started is to write out the action in sentences of what it's about.Each action from a starting point.You could start from the end/middle,but preferably the beginning works best.

Knowing how people talk(dialogue) and most important.Make it personal.Write about something that's familiar.That you have passion/knowledge for.

Final draft which I'm writing on.Is a wonderful software program.It allows you to shift many pages of dialogue with a few clicks.It numbers your pages.Abbreviates.Endorsed by top filmmakers like oliver stone and john waters.Highly recommended!"All you add is words".At a later date I'll reveal what my script is about.Hoping to pull you in on it's progress.When the script's done.

All it needs are stars to work under the sag low-budget agreement.Locations need to be secured,a few cars,gun play,makeup and online donations to make this all possible.It is nothing new.As this seems to be the way independent films are being made nowadays.

Seriously,if anyone in the very near future.Would be interested in donating around$15 or $20 dollars each would get invited to the premiere,a free poster or something like that.A much larger donation of a few hundred dollars will net you a producer's credit and a copy of the dvd.I've had the opportunity to grow a fan base on you tube,twitter,facebook and cinematic comics building a following.

SPRINGS A COMIN'

Even though spring is pretty much here.There's still a nippiness in the air.As there was on St. Paddy's day.That shorts&tank top weather was put off a few more days.It has been a long,cold winter in new york.Makes me long for my earlier days in L.A.When I'd resided in reseda,and van nuys in the "valley".Oh fer'sure!

Now I know what I said before.Comics next.That weekly strip I'd promised.Which by the way,will debut this sunday the 21st.It involves a new strip you've maybe had a promo on before called:"the hipster".At this point.None of my subscribers,or the few fans I have left will believe me.Nor can I blame them.Meaning.I'll be running back and forth to kinkos,and have to photograph the finished art,and upload it with some foreign object called a flash drive.To the back of my mac.

What's goin' on with me?Well I've finally upgraded my computer from panther to another cool cat called tiger osx,or something.Installed(finally)some screenwriting software to it's interface.I'm currently on almost page fifty of my first screenplay.Written many months before in two different notebooks,binder-clipped together.

What's it about?I can't tell you that right now.It would spoil all the mystery.What about my first movie attempt-"hotel distortion"?Oh that.That was basically an improvised .Kind of john waters/cheech & chong-type script.I think the first twelve pages were written out as sides for the actor's auditions.This one will have a finished script.With some very attractive elements,film fans usually love,and it will be story boarded.Since I'm an artist.

Between this.Getting comic strips on this site.Editing and uploading short clips of hotel d,and other jazz on you tube,and vimeo,etc.The plate is quite full,and dessert hasn't yet been served.My stream of consciousness type style hasn't changed a bit.So there!

Writing is a catharsis for me.A cleansing of an artistic soul.Sharing my thoughts with the world.

Oh,and the second graphic novel"hotel distortion's" coming out great!At some point they'll be more pencilled pages posted here online.Do check out my vids on you tube if you have a minute or two.Time well spent?

Everyone throughout their whole life deserves at least one time,where they can have their place in the sun!There are many kinds of persons/personalities.Now one might argue."Not everyone has their own hallowed place.

Now,depending on certain factors in one's life.Good or bad.Ying and yang.Isn't that what they mean?

Driving down the highway.Cruising towards that light/goal/ambition that one may be seeking.There could be several factors that determine one's success.

First,it's trying.Although a hypnotist once told me"when you try you get tense".I know the session cost me a hundred clams!So do tell me something better than that please.

What i mean to say is.Say life is like the L A freeways.So many roads.So many choices.Which road?What's really behind door number four doctor strange?See the comics parallel?i dunno.Ask monty"let's make a deal" hall,or bob barker.

It's more than potholes on the highways.There are ruts to watch out for.From my experience.Ruts are just dead energy that needs a slight shift to take a new direction.That and being aware of those all too limited patterns.

Patterns are like that beatles song "A day in the life" 'woke up,got out of bed,drove a comb across my head",i went downstairs to have a cup"(coffee?).Somebody spoke,an'I went into a dream".Ahh-a-a-ahh-a-a-Ahhhhh-a-a Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"I read the news today,oh boy""About a lucky man who made the grade"

What if? Once i was in one of these so-called ruts,and although I'm a coffee enthusiast.Sometimes too much.Milk,cream or pretty much any daily product was making me miserable,and congested.

I then,nostalged for that 80's time.When for breakfast i'd have (for two weeks)just watermelon,and black coffee.Well,my good breathing returned,and was no longer congested.I was feeling awesome within a week,or two.

But,we're talking about roads here?Which ones to take.Making a choice makes that easy enough.Until through trial&error,you find it wasn't for you.

Suppression is also a way to stop any individual.It's basically a suppressed society here in america today.How many times recently have you heard."Hey,we need writers,artists,actors,photogs,filmmakers,musicians,innovators""The pays great"!"The opportunities are many"!"Just don't be boring,and blow our mind while your at it,huh"!

Unfortunately,the world doesen't think as you do.Then,why must I conform to it?

Good question.There are only two jobs I've had in my life that I've liked.One was working as a volunteer in a wild animal museum.The other,well paid as a proofreader.Two of the most interesting gigs .Was as a accupuncture model w/pay.The other?Videotaping houses on staten island for $15.00 buck an hour.Oh......

Marvel comics mogul stan "the man" lee said:most of us are frustrated.As I surely am at,more time than I'm ever willing to admit.

NEXT : Introducing a new weekly comic strip.That will continue till' I finish a small story w/ it.Then I'll either be starting one w/ this same character.Or going in a completely new direction w/ another one.

This week I've decided to shift to a different theme.It's about honor and integrity,and standing up for what you believe in.Meaning conan o'brian.So,all you celebrity-crazed fans out there seeking some kinda gossip.This is for you.

Enjoying late night with conan o'brian and his creative comedy skits for many years.Causing me to comment.

Here's my two cents:Today you'll find very few.If any,souls taking a stand against having their rights violated by camera surveillance.Or the government playing daddy(who's yours?),or political correctness,but this one's decidedly different.

Conan m'man I am 100% on your side.You've been had.When you signed a contract by nbc.Giving you johnny carson's old 11:30 time slot.With jay leno I had hoped,retiring.Never liking jay and his boring weaselness.

Just after seven months in office,the drama increased.Leno came back (unfortunately)and was given and hour show from ten to eleven weeknights.

No problem right?-wrong!Nbc looked at the ratings,or how jay leno had more fans suppossedly liking him better.

Now nbc decides to yank the conehead,and now give leno the start at 11:30.Trying to cover both bases like our politicans.

Try this.Conan honored his contract.Nbc did not,and decided to flex their peacock at conan.Moving conan to defend his bud jimmy fallon.Quoting conan:"moving jimmys show another half hour late wouldn't be fair to jimmy".Unbelievable.A man of honor in today's wussy world.

We'll make a movie of this,but seriously folks.Something has to be done.If it means
dissing nbc till' nbc comes to their peacocked senses and reinstates this hilarious comedy brother of mine.Universally,of course.

Jay,I'm on the side of talent so you lose out,and so does nbc.

Oh,by the way.This just in.Conan O'Brian signs payout deal for a mere 45 million.Oh well?

DEMISTIFY IT!

We live in an age of mysticism that hopefully as the new age enters.will be coming to an end.When someone I'm in contact with.Gives one,a bunch of unnecessary details.I'll then add-"Can you please demystify it for me?"

Several years ago,when I was younger,and because of innocence,didn't know any better.My natural instincts told me that this or that person was over-hyping.Mystifying what they were over explaining to me.

Don't know if it has anything to do with me being a sagitarius.Astrology speaking,but I've always hated any form of deception,or sorted details.Especially,when people can't call an easy ,tedious job with no future ,just that.

Met many people in my life,and will continue to do so,but you don't have to live long in this life to know when some "hoser" is dousing you.In other words someone,any individual adding importance,and extra unnecessary bogus details to something that probably could be mastered in fifteen minutes.To a day,at most.

To me these pretentious time wasters,are a waste to my ever precious ambition.From a person that does choose to do something important in his life.Because when you do this(important work that you love) it gives your life meaning,and no matter how someone out there chooses to bring you down to their level.They will begin to have a difficult time.When they realize that you have something special going on.

That's usually in society.Mocked and laughed at.Maybe it's that tom petty song that's blaring in my ear"I won't back down"(which I like) that reinforces this belief.

In my very interesting,frustrated,still hitting on "all cylinders" life.All I ask is for these overraters to just .Give it all a needed rest,and stop overrating bad,tedious,soul sucking time wasting fluff,and to please at least attempt to start telling some truth.This is what crabs do when a horde of them are in a bucket,and then one attempts to climb out to freedom?

Why,the other one's reach out their huge claws and pull them back down!Sound familiar?

No matter how many obstacles I face,and trust me you will face them.Genuinely,I enjoy meeting people,and having a good time!Which mostly now is through the artsy work(which only too few appreciate) that I do.

My choice,more than ever is that I WILL do it.Like triple H of the wwe says:"when I say I'm going to do something,you know I'll do it."Kudos triple H!!!Truer words were never said.

What is mysticism exactly?It's the belief in something not seen.Like mythology(which I do love),or any old world beliefs that have proven over time,not to be true.

Getting back to art,I also paint,and remember some guy I used to know from massachusetts who was a painter.He told me "Bob,just because you can draw-doesen't mean you can paint"?Oh Really?All it is IS drawing with brushes instead of pencils!

Never taking one class in art,and just plunging into the malestrom of paints.Proved my former friend wrong,and without lessons yet.

Trust and innocence,are admirable qualities by themselves.Society's constant problem is not scolding these mis-informers.Who prey on the naive.Like vultures at lunch hour.

In closing,please don't tell me painting's a whole nother ballgame than drawing.Cause' it's not!

Bartending,and directing are also,overrated talents.

So isn't proofreading for lawyers.Which is my steady job.One I'm thankful for.That keeps making me decent money to keep persuing my dream!Here's to everyone's dreams!!!

IS IT REALLY 2010 (HAPPY NEW YEAR!)

Into the new year.A time of wishes.Change.Each decade seems to have it's own theme,and this coming one is no different.Although there's a twist.It is now a new decade.

2012 is suppossedly the year,the mayans predicted it will be the end of the world.Your kidding me c'mon!The end of the world? Didn't think so.I've also heard it will be theday the internet is under corporate(censored) control.Or that this new era will be finally,a tremendous shift in world consciousness.Count on the latter!

Rewinding,back ot 2001's "waking life".Where one character in the movie says to another:"Your living in the most exciting time in history.""So if anything don't be bored."

At this time of decade switching.Trivial pursuits over what the important mergers,scandals,movies,songs,politics,and accomplishments brought forth.

For me,this past decade was completely bizarre.It was one of some very personal accomplishments that made me feel better about myself,and some herculean goals i'd set forth to acheive.Though I do still remain anonyomous,and sometimes quite frustrated.

With censorship on the rise.A larger part of the population becoming" have-nots".One should count any blessings one has,but there's more to it than that.

Losing two much loved ones from my own biological family.It feels like I'm talking to ghosts sometimes at present.Feeling more involved,and more intense about "now is the time".

Believing ,now that you can call forward things you want in your life.By focusing your thoughts on specifically,what you want.As I will be making all these great new years resolutions,but trimming the fat on the impossible ones.Nothing being impossible.It just seems that way.

Day one of new years eve.I'll be making my wishes come forth with my incense,gold candles,and accessing what bounty the year 2010 will bring forth.

2010,and beyond will be a time of great change.Firmly believing that people are growing tired of poverty,oppression,war,scandals,and unconstitutional invasions of privacy.

Which is why I choose to be here-heart and soul.Let's party !!!

UFO'S

Ufo's(unidentified flying objects) have captured our imagination since that spacecraft crashed in roswell ,new mexico.Sometime in the late forties.1949,i believe.As I've explained before.I'm not one for technicalities,or details.

Most children of the fifties were introduced to things like flying saucers,robots,various monsters around that time.Which also ties in with the reading ,and enjoyment of comic books.

I remember with fondness.That friday night creature feature.Hosted by the echoey-voiced "feep".Some made up creature in a spacesuit and fishbowl helmet.

After talking long distance to a friend of mine.The subject went to ufo's,and my friend explained"you notice how ufo's have been showing themselves lately?Well if you've been to you tube recently-running any wild searches?Flying saucer sightings are going hog-wild!They are all over the place-Worldwide.

There have been sightings in maryland,massachusetts,arizona,california,mexico,south america,france,russia,hungary,italy,spain,iceland,and japan.

Almost everywhere.With different kinds of spaceships resembling soaring circles,boxes,saucers,and flying v's.Any intergalactic spaceship would likely be aero-dynamic in size,or scope.

Another very cool video on you tube said something to the effect of:"nasa scientists are baffled by weird humming sound coming from saturn","or ufo spotted in backround on moon landing".A bit over the top,but can't all be fakes.

There were also many close ups,clear shots that reeked of authenticity.Even though our military has advanced technology that can use lazer colored lights,and holograms.

Like anyone else i watched the 90's x-files,and enjoyed it."The truth is out there".If it truly is,why do we suppress it so much?
Maybe these highly-advanced creatures are showing up because 2012's just around the corner,and their tired of us destroying midgard.Which the vikings called planet earth.

Are ufo's real?I once had a born-again christian friend who argued :"there's nothing in the bible that explains their existence"?Defending my side of the story.I said"you also said the book doubted the existence of dinosaurs"? When archaeologists have the giant bones to prove it.More holograms I suppose hymm...?

Roswell was also doubted by the majority,and the documentary explained that it was indeed,a hoax?Then why were people threatened in that town if they dared leak out what they saw to the public.

If there ever comes a day in my lifetime I could witness little green men from the stars.Then,this obscure blogger would be forever mindblown!

Watching all these childhood movies.Brainwashed me into thinking all of outer space beings were hostile.They're hostile-has anyone observed this planet lately?

YOU TUBE UPLOADS

For folks out there who aren't players,getting thousands of hits daily,or weekly even.Then,you're lumped into the forgotten pile of "have nots".Which I'm currently trying to climb out if it's abyss.

You see,you tube started in 2005(don't quote me on it!).After maxing out my videomaking mojo around 5 months ago,and now have uploading issues.It reminded me when my funds from making my first movie had gotten depleted,and at that time storyline ideas for me,were scarce.

Which means the time for joining the you tube community was probably by 2006.Before google gobbled it up.Now,it seems the opportunities for internet superstardom seem far less than before.

Meaning, being "hooked up",making videos,and getting views,and the like.

Around last february,or march of 2009 was when I'd joined you tube's community of people making videos,and things were going fine until....Until,about a month ago.When,in ignorance/innocence even.Thinking I'd uploaded a hot,new halloween video under the ten-minute cut-off time that's required.

Ugh...more rules....

Well,the corporate entity known as you tube promptly rejected my kickin' little halloween gem of just under ten mins.The reason it was dissed was. It was too long at 24 mins.-WHAT ? I could have sworn,but didn't.

I then,deleted the rejected vid,because one of the cardinal rules is don't go over ten.Which I did.Deleting this mistake,I'd then
re-edited it to a shorter 5 minute jaunt.To my surprise.This one too, met the ax.Then,a three minute,and later a "just-under 2 minute" version.All met the same fate.Which made me ask why???

What was the catch in all of this?You tube stated that all of the now-fixed,shorter versions of this now cut-to-ribbons vid.Were the same length as the earlier ones of twenty four minutes.This was simply,not true.Which made me repeat to myself.What's goin' on here?Are they blacklisting me? Should I now suspend myself to get things moving.Having gotten no suspension?

Then,just yesterday nov.30th.Listening to several vids that reiterated that either you tube is dying,or is already dead.This made me realize I've got to get moving,or something.

Some person explained that videos for late bloomers that are NOT ad-sharing partners,travelling all over the world.Would have to be cut down to a 15 second limit.What?..SECONDS!You ARE joking.Most people can't tell one fib in that time.

Now,while I'm hoping that's not true.When I made a new "asking questions" video( which is on vimeo/plus more!).This production COULDN'T have been more than one minute.It looked as if this one was finally being accepted,from seeing that black&grey picture of the movie camera,and it saying:"video is being processed"-Great !

Only one slight catch.The note on the top of you tube's site said:"you tube is currently down and is performing maintenance-please be patient".Oh well,if anyone out there wants to answer this blogger's quandry,and has any answers on how to reach the wizard of oz .Being you tube.Please be ready for a "no prize".As I am currently out of answers.Still plugging though...

On that note I'm awaiting answers,and I'm atta here till' next week.

HISTORY

No matter if you like it ,or not.Or believe it has no significance.History plays an important factor in our present,and in our lives.

Why?You may ask.When the present is THE only time going.Because the prelude to the present,is history.Of ,what DID happen before,and what lessons were learned.Before going forward,without looking back.

It seems people mix up history with pre-history.Those chaotic times.So what should we care about all those giant,scaly dinosaurs?

When man finally reached consciousness,from being cave-dwellers.History became such a thing to remember,to document/record the present.Which would a bit later,become history.

All through the school years.They teach us the past,though never knowing why?My own father told me.He also instilled in me.The importance of history from the stories he told me about the war.Or,about the barbarity of the roman coloseum.My dad was a great storyteller.Which drew in my natural curiosity.

As a kid,he took me ,and my brothers to war movies,roman movies,movies about the cossacks,the gods,(see the comic book connection?)cowboys and indians,knights,jack the ripper,general custer,the vikings,to name just a few.

A guru who I'd listen to,by the name of ed bergman said:"just the same people playing these dramas over and over,in different costumes".

Which leads me to ask.What have we as people learned from all of this? A few lessons perhaps,but our human development has been awful slow,and has held down our growth as a whole,and also as individuals.

Life is unlike movies,such as "time cop".Where corrupt people used future technology to go back for their own selfish purposes.

Movies are historic.So aren't books,documents,clothing,trinkets,houses,weaponry,art,or musical instruments.Hey,electricity wasn't developed way back then.

Would the beatles,or led zepplin have made such an impact without their electric sting?The answer of course,is no.Actually,hundreds of years earlier,it didn't hurt beethoven,or mozart any.

To some of the morons who repeat the tired phrase "old school".Even with all of the technology today.The people who came before your "new wave"time as far as creation goes.Were much more creative,intellegent,wiser,and definately more spiritual.

Do you actually think you can erase all of what came before by dismissing it as "old school"?Which is just a "borrowed"term from another forgotten,dumbed-down film.

If anything is truly old school,it IS school,but that is for "another time",another subject".Which again leads us to comics.Their american beginnings.From first,a newspaper strip,to being printed on pulp paper.Which was unique.As was the fragrance
of their paper.Now,the pages are slick(like everything else),and glossier.For true fans-beware the coming,electronic ones.As the future is rapidly ,upon us.

The lesson here is taking a page,in reflection of what it was like BEFORE.

Until,we really invent time machines,my brothers.We cannot alter ANYTHING.

Which is why history keeps repeating itself.From NOT listening to it's always ominous message.

You can't sidestep mistakes.

The first time I heard the word "mainstream"was in the nineties.If it's mainstream.It must mean the accepted choice by you,my thinker,the media.

Wait a minute.I've been out of the prison-like system called school.Where bells rang,and where I was directed where to go.Well,that school my friends you think you graduated from is never ending.If you go for that structured environment,which I despise.We've then graduated from schoolbells to wall clocks,punchclocks!
Telling us when our time begins,and ends for the day.

No wonder I've always gravitated to the arts all my life.This to me is the "so-called american dream that's talked about.If there even ever one in the first place?First,you have to pay me for that creativity.

I've always been a person who's asked questions.Tooo.. many questions for most of my teachers at school.Through my many observations about people.One thing I DO know is there are very FEW people who truly ask questions for fear of looking foolish.You've got that all wrong.Those who don't ask questions are the foolish ones.No worry.We the experts(the media)have all the answers for you.

The mainstream("samestream")is simply what's accepted by the feel of recent trends.As opposed by what is liked instinctively in our hearts.

Our first impulse,or impression that trusts itself.Only...only until that little recorded voice we only seem to question.When it's constantly compared to "what's in",and "what's out".Excuse me for weighing over 120 lbs.Which is why I loathe those in or out surveys.Trends are just popularity contests wearing clothes.

Isn't it time for brave/new wave individuals to self promote anything they see/like/or feel good about from first sight?Of course,but we can't have that.

People who look,or think differently must be ostracized,put down,or humiliated for having the guts.The bravery to decide for themselves what they deem to be good.

Which is what "samestream" will never want.A shift in thinking,and mankind may one day evolve from being just another forgotten number.

When anyone tells you a movie they've seen has a so so story,but it has great special effects.What they mean to say is when after suck,did the movie go bad?

To tell ya' the truth.Seeing just special effects in a movie like,for instance,transformers #1 and#2 kind of ruins the experience
of feeling anything.Hail computers!

The late,great james coburn was quoted as saying "hollywood should keep it simple-with people-instead of all those car chases,and explosions".Tell that to mega-producer jerry bruckheimier,hymmmn???Charlton heston's comments were angrier.Something to the effect of " they'll do anything for a buck".

Nothing wrong with making the big bucks,but whatever happened to offering a good/great product for your hard earned money?A fair energy exchange,I would think,but hollywood doesen't think that way anymore.Most of today's films looks like lessons in photoshop,or in-design.

All they offer in my book.Are maybe a handfull of very good films.Many more good -to- decent movies,and the rest a bunch of overly dumbed-down,bad scripted cgi and pixar entertainment.Of course,this doesen't mean I don't like/appreciatte the stars involved.Anyway....some stars.

People will argue that hollywood has always been this way.Producing schlock-value efforts.This was probably from overhearing that old quote"hollywood is a celebration in mediocrity"Hey I wasn't the one who said it !

No,it wasn't always that way.That's what poses as showtime today.

My brother goes to me"you think they don't want to make money"?Of course, just give me something better for my money because I'm not impressed anymore.

I don't know how many times I've left the movie theatre in recent years feeling very cheated.Cheated of a human experience that I was used to.How many computer-generated,mind numbing special effects can a person view?Without it leaving an individual as cold as a computer.As much as I've grown to love them.Computers have no feelings!

Reminds me of some of the denizens of zombies leaving movie theatres nowadays.Speaking of that.I'm looking forward to "zombieworld" with woody harrelson.At least that's just people ,and zombies this time.Yeah,keep it simple.Till' next week my friends-signing off for now.

Is there a day going by that doesen't mention the dredded "e" word.The eco----?See i ,gave it no life ,by repeating this negative mantra.Daily,over and over.This myna bird word should be outlawed!(Birds repeat what they hear...)

Folks,companies are either merging,cutting back,laying off.Or bailing out.

I,for one,simply refuse to be held hostage to greedy power-brokers,who force policies upon anyone who isn't rich.

An actor/poet friend of mine just uploaded a new video on you tube.Pretty mind travelling stuff.Where he stated "i don't want to hear about another millioniare" ,"I just want to hear about the artist."

You see.No matter what type of fear out there.This anonomous blogger refuses to plug into the limitation wildfire anymore!Yeah ,and walgreen's is giving out free flu shots-isn't that nice?If you like dying,I guess!

We're americans right?Where's that unrelenting spirit of innovation?Of "entrepanuership?From the little I know about life.The one thing I DO know is that we always seem to need a darkness,or years of tragedy to finally say enough,is enough!It is time my friends for a revolution of renaissance.

One of the last books of the late great hunter s. thompson a.k.a. "gonzo".Talked about how everyone in this country is handcuffed by fear.Heavy stuff.

Personally,I love the spirit of protest.Although,you won't see me at any of these gatherings.Unless it supports animal rights.Politics are just not my thing.Nothing gets accomplished by politics.Except more politics,political correctness,and well...lying.Lots of it.

Sure I complain too,because often times I feel powerless.What we DO need are more leaders.You look at today's america.All I see are a bunch of whiney followers,generally speaking.

People just don't want to take a chance on someone,or something who isn't reccommended
by someone.We live in a society of "insiders",who are either nepotists.Who I have no respect for,or ass kissers.Because we fear our own flawed reputations are on the line.For fear of looking bad.Fortunately,I am not one of these gutless bodysnatchers.

The reason I'm mentioning this is.Remember that book signing I'd mentioned that would be in melrose in an earlier blog.

Well,it's not happening.Here are comic stores who are going out of business,left and right.Selling the same,tired,uninspired stuff that brutalizes,and makes young minds cynical.What I will NEVER get is when an authority/ANY authority in this case overlooks something that supossedly isn't worth THEIR time.THEIR word is considered law.Even though that same visionary refused to read my graphic novel,or witness it's beauty,and originality.

Don't worry,it is selling well at midtown comics with little or no,advertising.My book "THE MYSTERIOUS WOODSMAN"needs no introduction.All it needs is being looked at,and appreciated.

It has been endorsed by comic superstars like paul gulacy,jose'ladronn,jim steranko and steve rude.Steve was kind enough to send me an encouraging email.Telling me it was original,ambitious,and that I should be extremely proud of my efforts."I am" steve,and I wish you were my publicist.

These great artists,past and present,who need NO introduction.Had the guts to put themselves on the line for me,and I would return the favor anytime.Or for any younger artist that in the future I may inspire.They can see the beauty in raw talent.This store dosen't deserve my services,because beneath all the media-saturated packaging that goes on.Once you take all the bandages off the mummy's body.You see rotting bones.All I did was add life.

"We just can't have that here".Why not?"Same rules-same game"Ever hear of the instantaneous power of the internet?

This just out-if you haven't already heard....Disney bought marvel comics for four billion dollars! If that's a hometown discount,uh,you must be rich?If this isn't shocking,try picturing miley cyrus as one of the avengers?Ugh!Scary!We're not talking about uncle walt's disneyland here! Walt disney's1960's "the wonderful world of color" was in itself a wonderment.Showing original ,family-oriented feature films like "the scarescow of romney marsh",and "emil and the detectives".Disney's nature programs,and their cartoons were great too!

Unfortunately walt disney sadly passed away in 1966 i believe.So,without walt's vision,or jack kirby's,or stan lee's at marvel for that matter.Without the head,the geniuses no longer at the top. The bodies started to wither ,and collapse.Turning out a much lesser product/products.Mediocrity I think is the word we're looking for.

I'd heard this very disturbing news last sunday from a customer,who was buying comics from my outdoors vending table.Sometimes,usually sundays, I am a vendor.Selling comicbooks,magazines and some of my own cutting-edge postcard,or print artwork.Which at sometime,in the near future I will post on this very site!Or,link all the web surfers over to fallsart,my art site that's currently under construction.

Marvel comics WERE the beatles of the comicbook world-now-SOLD!So does that mean the corporate disney logo will accompany spiderman,the mighty thor and the f.f. from now on?Seems that way! I dunno.

Does that mean that marvel comics/entertainment doesen't even have electronic comics anymore?Well scoot over to disney's,or marvel websites to view the giant fish that swallowed the great big fish.Did the salmon just spawn,and swim upstream without looking back?Or, did the whale just swallow jonah whole?

This is marvel entertainment we're talking about here?"That lately did resemble just a shell of it's former glory in this fanboy's opinion.Marvel had been having problems since the early nineties.Entering the failing trading card business.Where they'd created their own chimera of mixing card collectors.Even sports with their comics.Marvel fell seriously in debt,and were bailed out by japan.I did notice there
had been millions of sightings of anime and manga.ask me why?the storytelling is great.

So where does this leave comics? I've also read where diamond,our only distributor left,wants to stop printing comics altogether,and go to ONLY print graphic novels.

Waaaa!Mommy,daddy I want a comic!UHH...Pick something less expensive tiger.That's almost twenty dollars!(heavy sarcasm here....)

Well,that's not exactly all folks....!People around the new york area who are familiar with the big apple comic con's.Guess what?They've just exchanged bodily fluids and have been bought out by wizard.

The upcoming mid-october convention has quickly raised its ticket prices to a mere thirty bucks daily?

Quickly,my dear friends.Embrace the nostalgic/"old school"/good ol' days when imaginations not filled with mtv/reality television,or brain-dead talk shows.When imaginations,fun,and clean entertainment for kids were king.

What we're seeing is more corporate takeover.Where buyouts equal sellouts!Stan lee thinks this corporate merging was a good move.Would jack kirby have-Doubtful.-Do you?

FREEDOM

Freedom is one of the greatest gifts of humanity.The opposite of freedom is control,or better explained -slavery.Just because you can't visibly witness your shackles.Doesen't mean you're necessarily free in the truest sense.

There are different kinds of freedom.Economically free,is one.Another is witnessing any bird animal that isn't someone's pet.Why a bird?Because there just isn't a freeer animal anywhere!

How's this for a thought?Why can't we,in the very near future.If we want a bird,or any other pet.there's always an open window for any adopted pet to leave at any time they want.Whoever,out there has one of those small, swinging doors that you're dog,cat or any other critter can pass through in case of fire,or some other problem that might arise.Congradulations!You are beyond human.Evolved,even.

Saw a video on you tube recently that broke my heart hearing.This man told the story of a wolf he saw at the zoo,when he was a boy.He explained how this wolf was thousands of years of evolution.How it could hear for miles,see in the dark.Had jaws that could crush the thickest bone.It could also,run for miles without getting tired.Had lungs that could withstand sub-zero temperatures.That same beautiful timber wolf lied down with its paws under it's face.Looking out at the bars feeling depressed.It had a clean pen,plenty of fresh food/water and medical care.Then,what was the problem?

It was the wolf finally realizing it couldn't escape.Never again would be able to feel it's freedom.Or exercise it's almost, super powers.

This,my friends.Was one of the saddest stories I've ever heard in my life,and here I am sharing it with you.Not to depress anyone,but to finally see what's truly important.Freedom !

Isn't it time we ended all zoos,wild animal museums,fur farms for our vanity,and slaughterhouses for our gluttony?

Since we are in the 21st century future.How's this for a thought/idea?Why not videotape all of the animals in the zoo.Set them free in their natural habitats-forever!Let's open the doors for video zoos in the future.Where you can view any animal you want.After it's been videotaped in the wild?After all, if it's money you want .You could still charge admission,and all of the wildlife that are NOT domestic pets,are allowed to live free in happiness.For the rest of their natural lives.

Isn't it time we gave the same court-protected laws to all animals that we give to people?Yes it is!Which is one of the reasons I'm so passionate about my lead comicbook character "the mysterious woodsman".There was a reason that alter-ego marcus claine became the woodsman.Because he saw the barbarism in man,and realized that all animals,wild or domestic were worth saving.All because there was an innocence,and nobility about them.Realizing that even though they do kill each other in the food chain.It's all from innocent hunger,they never torture like mankind does,and they bear no malice towards their victims(prey).

Henry david thoreau's always been a hero of mine.He shunned man.Lived in the woods.Wrote.Refused to participate,in the civil war.Was jailed for his beliefs,and didn't believe that there should be any laws?

We share a bond,as I feel the exact same way.And if I'd lived in thoreau's time,would probably have been jailed too.

One of the biggest lies is that today's america is a free country.Is it,when they make up hate laws to criminalize free speech.Put cameras everywhere like something out of "the truman show".Need to show documentation to prove we are indeed
americans.When our illustrious president doesen't have to.The 24 hour surveillance.I, for one am growing tired of my fellow americans that wimper"I don't like some of the things going on here,but it's still the greatest country in the world to live in."-Is it? You have to finally ask yourself a question outside of this matrix grid.Turn off all technology for one day.Including the idiot box.To be still in meditation.At peace,and to observe the reality of what's truly going on.

Vlogging=a video blog.

This new epidemic called vlogging has risen across the internet.Not looking like it will end anytime soon.Some are brilliant! As I currently know several people moving up the ladder in all economic scales.Are spreading their message of sharing what they have to offer.In other words,creating a thing called value in the videos they create!

I have a good amount of admiration for anyone who takes their own personal time to make them.Vlogs, that is.Because to me,they take the same guts that I admire in street performers.It is that selfless ability to sometimes expose your soul.Or humanities.That pulls an audience closer from maybe the way you sound,the way you look,or the subject matter that just may interest the silent masses in universal brotherhood.

See? A change is possible.

Little ricky springfield of "don't talk to strangers" fame visiting cbs fm in a recent interview mentioned"am I being webcast"?"Oh -I'll put my clothes back on"!Well some webizens ARE leaving their clothes off.Which is all fine and good,when it's a" blockbuster" night.What a kidder,that rick!

Having a sense of humor helps.From most of the DECENT videos out there in internetland.Some are funny,sad,brilliant even,and at their worst.Self indulgent nonsense.

With the use of technology,we have quickly become a" look at me-look at me "society.Almost up there with "the jetsons"(great cartoon ,by the way).Just,without the spacecraft.

Technology isn't rocket science.It's just a bunch of buttons and wires,man!See how I de-mystify things?

ASTROLOGY

My mom is a witch! I repeat,my mom is a massachusetts witch.It must be her mostly french heritage that makes it this way.She is not only,a talented astrologer,but also a piano player,and writer.Having already written a book on astrology,but she reads the tarot cards too.

I was told by her,not to fret when my future was that guy on the ground with all those nasty daggers in his back.

Now,some may argue that astrology is some new age mysticism,or jargon.Certainly,I don't follow my life this way.At least no more,but it does have it's place of truth in understanding the basics of why certain personalities click,and are that way.

One of my brothers will say to me"Bob,don't you think all that astrology hocus-pocus brought ma all this bad luck? You mean the divorce?Or could it be the two out of six children that are nuts? I personally,don't think it was because of that!

Way back in the eighties in the big city(ny).I'd frequented many gypsy tea houses that had tarot card readers.Y'know,get a glimpse of my future that was so destined for greatness.Well,guess what?I'm still waiting.Though still enjoying the ride upward to spreading my artistic /entertainment message.

You see,I was born on december 17th.Which makes me the fire sign sagittarrius.This was also the wright brothers first flight day in 1901.Still waiting for my own flight to get off the ground.Although,a fire sign.I have only three signs in fire.Two in sag.The sun and mercury,and my pluto's in leo.That's it!-All the rest of my spinning planets are in water,and a few in air.Meaning three signs in cancer,one in pisces,and two in scorpio(the sexy ones),and no earth.I've never had my feet on earth I suppose?

Would you believe my uranus is in cancer?-Hey,I think positive.

Rounding it out.My moon is in libra,and my rising sign is aquarius.Which makes me good with people,i guess.

Even though our family grew up catholic.My mom pretty much belives in reincarnation.Who am I to argue? As I've often felt I've been many places before.Many times.I think I felt my first impression on our backyard when I was six,or seven.

Then,suddenly years later my mother warned:"Bobby,don't EVER change your name if your thinking about it.""It will change your destiny"!Really,the name tony curtis didn't hurt bernie schwartz all that much! I'll pass on that one ma.

Meaning,if I NOW decide to change my name.It will have absolutely no bearing on my future,or who I am.My talents,and how hard I work, while using my head to determine my future.

No offense,but keep the stars where they are.Jane,my old proofreading teacher said to me:"Robert,if you lived in mass. back in pilgrim's time"."You'd be one of the ones that gets burned at the stake"!

No wonder why I loved "joan of arc" so much.

INCONVIENIENT LIE(S)

Just a few years ago.Former vice president al gore won an oscar, for his cutting-edge,misinformational documentary called "an inconvienient truth".

Quickly,let's read the subtext,beneath the movies title.What it means (de-coded) is "an inconvienient lie".

Upon reading an article in the new york times.About a woman not using/or cutting back dramatically on her air conditioner use.In the fight to reduce carbon emmissions,and to save on electricity.Several other people followed suit.-Why?It's summer,it's very muggy out today,and guess what free thinker (heavy sarcasm here!) ? My a c's on all night,and day until this
salamandery day is over.It will be running totally guilt free,also.

A politician,not a scientist is saying this.Where does mr. gore get off being dr. nostradamus.Being an authority that he,nor any of our thinktank politicians has a clue about.

In case you didn't know.Some time in the seventies.There was a global cooling scare.That just led to more fear,hype,and paranoia,and little else.

Am I to believe this (opposite end of the spectrum) lie is also truth? Luckily,for sanity's sake,it was proven to be false.

On an appointment yesterday.Somewhere in rockefeller center,waiting to be seen.There was this giant,aquarium-sized hd television.With the talking media head summerizing "we've had several melting icebergs in greenland".Probably because july IS the hottest month of the year.So this is nothing out of the unusual.

If anything,this has been one of the coolest,non-humid summers in my existence.

So,how do we get global warming,and/or greenhouse gases for that matter?Are we to believe that the earth is one big terrarium? There are NO glassy barriers surrounding the earth,in an unseen forcefield?Making it sound like some,great magnifying glass.

Make no mistake,nature is a perfect working organism,as is our own bodies.

All the plants producing life-giving oxygen for us to breathe.The waters to nourish,and drink from,and just enough sun.As it's been for billions of years,to warm us.

Nature doesen't have a remote control for some madman's hands to manipulate.Luckily!Although haarp,up in alaska.With it's rows of electronic crosses.Comes the closest to true weather modification.

Secretary of state hillary clinton,another global-warming advocate liar, like her husband bill,and mr. gore.Who,in a recent "you tube" video was asking some CONgressman.She said:"senator,if we imposed a "carbon tax" on this global warming problem we have?The senator nodded in agreement that "yes,this would do".

Wait a minute! How can taxing the populace somehow stop global warming,and "save the world"?If anyone is to blame.It would be monoliths like large corporations,dumping waste in our oceans,and polluting our airways.

Does the sun collect monthly extortion payments like most of our greedy american landlords.Demanding tax money,or we burn,or freeze as punishment?-NO !

Nature is the most powerful force in the universe.Not just on earth,but on any planet throughout the galaxy.Do you really think our feeble tinkering with it's atmosphere.Can alter it's natural smog cleaning capabilities?-Didn't think so! PATTERNS/ROUTINES

Routine is part of life.Especially those daily ones.Now,if your not careful.It can become one of those rut-filled patterns that we all have to watch out for.

All it takes,is sometimes slowing down to nature's pace.The peace and stillness of nature.That for me,is only a long walk over to central park.Instant karma,from all the craziness I've grown so used to in nyc.Being a country boy by nature.Was so used to seeing beautiful wildlife all the time,and miss that peace of walking out to the woods for a little meditation.

Just what are ruts?When someone's life grows stagnant from all the same actions.When you keep promising yourself you'll "do this ,or that" sometime soon!From staying in a familiar comfort zone.Instead of taking different,scarier actions,outside that comfort zone.

Now human rituals include.Dolling up our hair,clipping nails(hopefully!),brushing teeth,the morning coffee/tea,doing laundry,checking,sending out emails,etc.etc.....

Some of those routines/patterns/rituals I enjoy are.Ordering out for chinese food at work(fri. nights).Though my art/comics are bursting at the seams,and begging for attention.Moonlighting as a proofreader.Allows me this weekend benefit.Hey,kafka had to work at the bank until his books sold too.So there....!

The bad patterns in life are just like repeated dogma.Denial could be considered a form of pattern also.All it takes is changing daily actions.That slight shift in energy.That brings back something that should never be undermined-enthusiasm!

Some of my rountines-not worth mentioning:- the snack machine at work
-having all my clothes prepared(beforehand),so I'm not late.(works for me!)
-weeding out spammy emails
-living in the past/or future
-laundry,on mondays

Routines worth mentioning:

-watering the plants
-buying the weekends boston herald/or globe for my sports fix
-visiting midtown comics,or roger's time machine
-going to central park,or down to the village
-treating myself to breakfast
-treating myself to a morning/afternoon movie(the docu/artsy one's hollywood hates!)
-bringing out my digital still camera/or dv movie camera,and shooting some footage(better get that permit!)
-writing my weekly blog/preparing my art
-accepting people will never see the world as I do,though I wish they would
-having a drink w/my good friend george who's always inspiring,and seems to always have something going on
-no matter how down I get.looking at what I've created so far,and appreciating the talent/work involved.no matter if no one appreciattes,or not
-enjoying,listening to matt pinfield,leslie&matt over at 101.9 wxrp fm (coolest new rock station!)
-never acknowledging my age (ageless!)
-keeping all web surfing ,to a minimum
-continuing to "eat fresh",not subway-healthy(label reading helps too)
-being an art/comicbook vendor on weekends/being outdoors/meeting new,interesting people(characters)
-eatin outdoors at "big nicks"
-my editing classes over at the mac store on w.14th
-keeping with my daily exercise routine for health,relaxation,and I'll admit-vanity!(so sue me!)
-enjoying all the movements I'm involved in
-living in the greatest of moments-NOW !

THE KING OF POP

Early,this past thursday evening,I received the shocking news,via the internet.Confirmed-Michael Jackson-Dead!The gloved one was no more..........my jaw dropped!

Now ,you can say what you want about michael,and people will,but he was a gift to the entertainment world.An incredible talent,singing,esp.
dancing,the jackson five,his solo career,and in this person's view and as much as I despise it,helped launch mtv.Which is not usually about talent,or imagination,but then again,michael jackson was the only exception to that visual mind-numbing rule.His incredible videos were like theater,and west side story wrapped together.This loss will be las vegas's gain for opportunistic impersonators.Why not ressurrect the universal monsters too?

What I will remember is getting to listen ,and digging the jackson 5 growing up... somewhat.

That's the thing.Michael never grew up.Which is what I most remember.Just a kid having fun.Did you also know that he was a big comicbook fan?

People will judge because of the scandals of "neverland ranch".I choose not to care about his sexuality,or get involved in any of that judgement.

All I know is michael jackson,the crotch grapping,moon walking,singing,dancing dynamo had the incredible courage to be himself,and maybe one day hopefully all that evil gossip will disappear and that people will remember the incredible legacy he left on the music world.

Someone said:"Michael never had a childhood,now he'll never have an old age".Sure. Just like peter pan.

This same sad day marked the passing of the sweet,lovely farrah fawcett.An angel for sure.You'll both be missed.

To anyone that's never been to a comic convention.You are missing out on a load of fun.Again,it helps if comics are your thing.Not big on comics?Then I should mention the fangoria convention.Held at the jacob javitc center in nyc,a few short weeks ago.Lost? Just follow all the goths,vampires&girls dressed in black w/ black nail polish,and all black lipstick.Be still my heart?

Fangoria was more of a dark/goth horror-type show.This fanboy was in attendence on the last day of a three-day show.Famed italian horror director dario argento,was in attendence.There he was speaking to a crowded room,full of faithful fans who knew his films much more than I did.Probably why I didn't subject myself to the center aisle/standup mike,and ask ol' dario ,a few guestions.A woman to his left interviewed him.While a man on his right interpreted all the questions.

First time I've seen a big-time director presented with a lifetime acheivement award.Labeling his storied career,doing horror films.All in all,pretty good stuff!Also ,attended that same day.Downtown,the mocca independent comic con.It was held at the armory at e.26th&lex.A cool scene for sure,but no air conditioning for all those hard working vendors left me slithering out for the nearest shower.

Then, just a week later.It was over to the big apple comic con.The show was held this june on the eighteenth floor.What a nosebleed.Instead of it's usual home on the first two floors,down below.Helped out my good bud gary dolgoff,of gary dolgoff comics.Located in easthampton massachusetts.My old stomping grounds!Anyone looking to find great,old marvel,and dc's,gold key's,ec's classic comics--any comics.Zip right over to http://www.garydolgoffcomics.com.You will find it very worthwhile.Though,I am a bit dissappointed,not hanging out for dinner and drinks this time at "big nicks" on the upper-west side.

Comic cons,for any who aren't familiar.Offer a specialized wackiness for a whole day's journey.It is a scene.A safe,fun place
where you can get your freak on.Meet some interesting people,and pick up a few bargain books to boot.Coming up in the next month,or so.Will be giving updates on when I just may be apprearing at several conventions myself.There,may also be a book signing of my awesome 107 pg.full color graphic "the mysterious woodsman" at golden apple comics on the west coast,in the L A area.I'll keep you updated!

LEGENDS

Legends,science fiction,mythology,unexplained phenomenom.Their all related to comics in some form.It is an excellent source for ideas.For coming up with an imaginary story that takes us somewhere magical...different.

Being more specific.The egyptian pyramids,atlantis,the aztec/incan temples.Maybe the great wall of china,easter island,stonehenge,and of course bigfoot.

Those who don't recognize the names.Some of them are the loch ness monster,the new jersey devil,the dover demon,thunderbirds,the wicker man,extra-terrestrials,gort the robot.How's that for a stimulus package?Hmmmm.....!

Then,there are the gods.No matter where they originate.There are many.Thor,hercules,zeus,odin,loki,pan,jupiter,neptune,quazacotal,isis,ra,icarus,deadelus.They play with our imaginations,but not for many today.Most are missing from comics and,graphic novels to a large degree.

You may argue "old school",which I'm tired of hearing.Old school was the blueprint.Framework, for most of what you see before you today.King kong is a legend.So isn't dracula,the mummy,the wolfman,and the phantom of the opera.

Which brings us back to "the king of comics"-jack kirby.He loved the gods,legends passed down,mythology,and the unexplained mysteries that fueled stories among people.Way before the invention of the radio,or television.

Embrace them!They are not going away to any old school resting place anytime soon,or ever!There's suppossed to be a brand new vampire series on tv this fall.Looks interesting! Which is why there are so many remakes,other versions.They were better done,back in the day.

All the more reason to think up brand new material,don't you think?

TECHNOLOGY

Back in the early eighties,when I was quite young.I'd lived in L.A.Actually,the san fernando valley.Got a girl's phone number that I'd met in some rock n' roll/honky tonk bar.Called,expecting a live person.When I heard this cold,recorded voice that left a beep.Scared the crap out of me then,and it still does now.Should have learned my lines.You only get one take.Is it live television?-no it's technology!

Just as the year 1900 or so,was the beginnings of the industrial revolution.Here we are- post 2000 ,and the technological rev beckons.It is fast-growing,it is relentless,and I for one think it should take a major chill-pill !

There's cell phones,telephone answering machines,scanners,faxes,ipods,blackberry's,computers,software,digital printers,digital cameras,digital video,hd cameras,and now overhead cameras.

Say what?You know those cold,dark things lurking above our heads that make me feel like patrick mcgoohan in "the prisioner".No one,I mean no one likes to be watched all the time for the most insignificant things.Like total invasion of privacy.Someone said to me recently : "cameras-i like them-i feel safer".'As long as you don't have anything to hide" "what are you worried about"?!!

Personally,there are no worries.Consequently.it's a much safer world for women out there.That's the ONLY positive I can gather from all this mass surveillance.

Now,if you live out in the country.You won't be affected by this.Which brings to mind all you vechicle drivers.Watch out jumping those yellow lights about to turn red.You may get away with the infraction,but a hidden birdhouse-looking camera is up there.Watching your every move,and sending you a ticket later.

Where is all this going?We are rapidly becoming as a society.A collection of profiles being put into some mysterious data-base.From that very information-selling us things.

All paranoia aside.People de-humanized will turn to more technology sold to them by advertisers.Or mtv lying to us about "how the latest gadget will fill that missing piece in our lives".When,in truth life's very simple.The main things-food,clothing,air,water,human contact-LOVE.As we are social creatures by nature.Did I leave out success?

For that,and to get all our websites,domain names,blogs,and profiles going.We must first advertise all our likes,wants,needs,favorite president,rock band,political persuasion,or favorite reality show-(no thanks!).Do we dye our hair,have we ever tried viagara?Would I like a free 30 day supply?-While supplies last!How often is that quote repeated daily?

The best I can gather from all this.Is the tremendous opportunity to make money from all these techno-toys,and the independent work it provides.

Me,I don't feel I have anything to hide,except my age.That is only for close associates,and to keep those online applications guessing.This comes from somebody who loves writing,but prefers to meet human contacts face to face.Accepting everyone,everything hopefully,at face value.

Something to ponder while the zoom lens gleams.....I'm outta here!

ON WRITING

Writing is a carthasis of the soul.A long time ago .A woman said to me:"you have a way with words".Even though I've been doing some form of writing for years.Recently ,finishing off with the "mysterious woodsman,"and now"hotel distortion".This is my first weekly column on my ranting,thoughts,and ideas about the society,that I have no control over.Or feeling bad,that I can't change to some point.Thoughts vented out in printed form that hopefully touches/inspires another soul out there in sub space.Though,always returning to a sprinkle,or two about comics.

Being that it's basically,a comics,graphic novel,entertainment and collectible site.We bloggers need something to talk about each week,and so far there's a bounty of ideas to comment on.There is no fear on my part to come up with weekly material.So,so far-so good!Already I have my next five blogs lined up.With several already written ones,soon to be uploaded to an email list near you.What makes a writer,or blogger for that matter?Well,for one.A person should enjoy it,which I do.They say"readers make writers",and partly this is true but,there's also other factors.Thought-you know those wordy-conscious ideas that swim through our minds daily.

At least my mind.Though physicality's a factor in my life.I'm a pretty cerebral person.The mind,baby!Yes,you can overthink anything,and I still let loose on occasion.The art in my life keeps me indoors.But.it's always good to reward thyself after a hard day's work.Finding the need for sleep less taxing when accomplishing my daily goals.It's usually pen-to-paper.Sometimes I'll sit at my desktop,and just bang out page,after page till' I'm done.

What made me decide to add a blog to my site?Maybe,reading and gaining confidence from observing other websites hit me with the original thought of "yeah,I could do that".Proper music is also good for stirring the pot.Though,when writing at home it's peaceful meditation /concentration cd's/movie soundtracks.Or,when working on comics it's rock&roll on the old school walkman/stereo player.I-pod ,where are you?

One of the blogger's I listen to is a man by the name of john alanis.He writes several columns a week.So,for me clicking on to keep receiving his email spats was like a lesson in itself.John,without knowing it became a teacher to me.With his almost daily witty banter(talk).Being boring is not his thing.Going over a slew of subjects while sprinkling his blog always back to his main subject.

Another one is deagan smith.My web designer asked me "how do you know deagan smith"? I dunno,the same way I know of john alanis.They probably got my my name from some list,I guess?Liking what they both had to say saved me from deleting them as spam fodder.

As we grow into a more visual head sphere,and a less literal one,meaning writing.Web conferences are another way great to scan ideas.A few I listen to are jonathan budd,and barbie figueroa.Both of them have great self-help videos on "you tube".

Final thoughts about writing blogs.Having a good flow to them,is important.Kind of like the pace of a quick-cut action movie.My real job is as a proofreader in a manhattan law firm.So editing (which I perform when I'm writing),then proofreading your work is a way to tighten up all the dead spots that will lose an audience.Almost,like filmmaking in a way.

It pays to be witty ,and entertaining,and as long as no one boos,or complains for an apology.Writing's my new thing.Now if only someone out there commented on how I inspired them ??(?shameless plug,I apoligize!) Here's to inspiring ............!

HEALTH NUT?

Health.-It always intrigues me when someone says to me :"you look healthy"?Which makes me answer :"Have i dissapointed you"?

It's a subject not discussed in school as far as I know,except maybe, in physical fitness class.Another is diet.What I mean by diet is not in necessarily losing weight.Although,keeping your fighting weight,and being trim is all good.An idea is laying off all the heavily-sugared sodas,and replacing them with either seltzer water,and/or club soda.Yeah,a slice of lemon will help burn even more weight.Lemon being acidic,in nature.

Speaking of the only country I know.The diets here are obese,and out of control.All you have to do to prevent this salt/sugar overdose is to simply start reading all food product ingredients on the bottles,cans,or cartons themselves.

Now I know why my good bud carlo reads these.He actually turned me on to this.Meaning,cutting down on the sugar,salt,and absolutely NO high fructose,or hydrogenated oil intake.Synthetics in the human body,lead to pain,and are not natural.

Did you know that in japan.They use no sugar,or very little in their diets?Further explaining,there are many happy,smiling faces over there.No sugar you say?Aawww.... C'mon,you made me dependent on it.Nowadays,I use absolutely no sugar,or no products with white flour in them,if I can help it.Too much sugar intake is also a factor in people developing cancer,and is a major cause in depression.For anyone suffering from depression like my dear older brother,or me for that matter.Simply,pop a (holistic) st. john's wart,or two.Available at most organic/health food stores.

The only sugar I now,put in my morning's coffee is either brown sugar(not bleached),or good old-fashioned honey.Honey,in coffee?Trust me-it's good!Yogurts also good for dairy,only when the mg's (milligrams) don't exceed 27 mg's. Being too much!

I love cookies!-Cookies are my only weakness.My I suggest pamela's cookies?-Another shameless plug.Pamela's only use like 3 g's of sugar.Which is quite low,and use only rice flour,and other fine ingredients.Their delicious,and may I suggest either the pecan,or the peanut butter ones.Interested? Go to www.pamelasproducts.com to order.Or,their available at fairway(nyc),or at most organic food stores.Wish someone would plug me?

Water intake? we're talking filtered water.Filtering out all the flouride in it.Me,I always use one of those filtered water containers that sits in your refridgerator.Did you know we're mostly made up of 80-90% water?So hydrate yourself with at least 8-10 glasses of un-flouridated water daily.Flouride is good for you-right tell me another one! It's rat poison! Make sure you brush ONLY ,with either a tea tree oil toothpaste,or use tom's of maine.They are completely flouride,and saccachrin free.No cavities,or bone cancer for me.Thank you very much!Baking soda's also good,too.

A great life-saving website to check out is www.watercure.com.They'll set you straight on all the health benefits about water than I can.Check it out!Trust me,you won't regret it.

My diet's pretty healthy,and I've become somewhat of a herbologist.I could also,probably charge for all this great free info,but I won't.

Salad's are always a great thing.Ditch iceberg lettuce at once!Use romaine instead.The health in all fruits,and veggies if you don't already know.Is in their bright color.Romaine lettuce is very green.Not just in it's top leaves,like iceberg.Now, for a dressing.I've eliminated all those fatty,creamy ones.Only use oil&vinegar.Prefferably apple cider vinegar.Wait a minute!Only use oil&vinegar-that's boring!A little trick.Just spice it up with a little kikkoman soy sauce (low-sodium),of course,and you'll be smitten like I was.

For anyone out there that smokes.Drink echinacea tea,or sage tea.Good for the lungs,but the absolute BEST herb for lungs is colt's foot.That I've found, you can only order on the internet.Just type the name in google's massive search engine,and you're good to go.

Want to protect your tum tum from a weekend splurge of drinking?Take milk thistle,it protects the liver.Need sharper,clearer,thinking-try ginko biloba.It will help your memory.

A few other things.I eat salads almost everyday.Ditched almost anything bleached.White sugar,rice,or flour.Hardly eat steak,only chicken,and fish.And eliminate milk or most/all dairy.Soy milk is way better,and healthier.Have it with my cereal,all the time now.Will eventually go the vegan route of george bernard shaw,and become a full vegetarian in the next few years.Setting myself up to live to ninety-four,or so.-Yeah!

Worried about the swine flu?Then fast every month,or so.Do it for 36 hours ,at least.Meaning.living on only water ,or green tea.Do this,and you won't have to worry about catching any flu.

Heart woes,or concerns?Health experts have confirmed the reason?Health experts have confirmed the reason people get heart attacks,is it's less a cholestoral problem,than a magnesium deficiency.A magnesium deficiency is the cause for most attacks,causing the muscles of the heart to contract,and put you at danger.Use at least 500 milligrams of this important mineral.Or ask someone at a health food store.Need more knowledge on this,and more.Pick up a copy of 'Back to Eden" by jethro kloss.There is no better inexpensive book on health.

Need more energy?This for me,used to be a problem.Until I started taking the "noni" plant from polynesia.The most life-giving fruit in the world.A few teaspoons in the mornig,and you probably won't need coffee anymore.

"DREAMERS"

If any of you out there saw the 80"s hit "flashdance".There's a scene where michael nouri says to jennifer beals.Who's thinking of giving up her dream after her teacher/mentor passes away.He says:"when your dream dies,you die".-Heavy stuff.

Another fine film.2001's "this waking life" by richard linklater.If you haven't seen this one.Your missing a treat.The movie rages on about these dark times.Dark times?After all,it was made in 2001.Not preferring to mention a certain tragedy that happened that very same year.(I won't go there,I promise).

Anyway,there's a scene where this drifter who gets off a railway car he's just crashed in, says to this dude walking "Hey!-(he answers)Hey man,are you a dreamer"?(he again,answers)-Yeah!"I don't see too many around lately" "Things have been tough lately for dreamers""They say that dreaming's dead" No one does it anymore" ""It's not dead,it's just been forgotten" "We've moved from our language" "Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists." "The dreamer is banished to obscurity"Then,he goes on :"I'm trying to change all that,and I hope you are too" -"By dreaming every day"."Dreaming with our hands,and dreaming with our minds".Then the guy who came out of the railcar,wearing a "free radio" t-shirt ends it withWhere entering the most exciting time in history" "So whatever happens,don't be bored." .Something to that effect. I thought that's where dreams ended-SCHOOL(more on that later).Today,from this bloggist's view.I see less,and less dreaming/dreamers.This is unfortunate.Trying to imagine our next einstein's,picasso's,marlon brando's,hemingways,or celine dion's.

How about this for an idea? Why doesen't bill gates,warren buffet,instead of putting more money into de-education,computers,or misinformation (the media) .Why not invest money into nasa's space program? Or better yet,create special schools for only the gifted and sensitive?That would be a trip.If I ever latch on to that kind of money.Even close,it would be funneled into making sure the talented wouldn't be thrown into the prison industrial complex,called public school.At least I had catholic school for only 5 years. One of my earliest experiences in art,and show biz.The nuns hated me!

Children who show signs of being gifted are often disguarded like everyone else.When in truth they should be exhalted,protected,and nurtured with careful leadership.So that around the time they graduate with that solid foundation.Will be ready to fly like a young raptor,(birds of prey )ready to spread their wings,and take off.Because ,let's face it,kids show a leaning toward what they'd like to do by the time their oh,i don't know 8-12 yrs. old.That facade of kids always changing their minds isn't true.They change when parents say"sweetie ,you don't know what you want yet""you're going to like a lot of things"."you have time".--Really?

More and more this has become a society of "insiders" versus "outsiders",nepotists,and trust fund babies.Only the pompous think that talent only comes from wealthy people who grow up priveledged,and are basically set for life.

Then,what happens to that poor,unfortunate ,unpriveledged kid who has stars in his eyes,and plenty of talent in his/her very soul?The kids only crime.Not being born in the right economic scheme.As if it's their fault anyway.

Now while my heart bleeds for my artist brother/sister.This is as bleeding heart as I'll ever get.Failure to not see a anyone's yearning(their dream),is to ignore watering a plant who's roots lose their grip.They,become the others,getting lost in the soil,entangled and stuck.

When my parents had a cottage on the cape.I'd for a short time,attended cape cod community college,and was a liberal arts major.One of my classes was music history.My favorite teacher ,and I hope he is very well. mr. kidd, who would let me visit his room,and shoot the breeze with.Reading books like "zen and the art of motorcycle maintenence".At that time I told him I was a fledging rock musician.He said to me:"I love dreamers".Meaning ,I guess me.-Point taken.

"Without dreamers,there is no dream."

There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth--not going all the way,and not starting"-Buddha

Just a thought to think about.

MEDIA MADNESS

The year was 1918.Early in the twentieth century america was hit with a pandemic flu that apprently killed thousands,if not millions of people.(Please forgive my research on the actual number.I'm feeling a bit lazy today.The number?)-A lot.

Now I don't ever prefer to open a column on a downer but,I'm trying to compare it to the recent swine flu virus scare.In 1918, this was very real ,and scary.For anyone living in that simple,and unfortunate time.For world war 1 was just ending,and now a deadly flu virus?Compare that to this recent paranoia which scientists have claimed is no threat.

All it is if you've watched the "telly"(television) in the last week(s).Is a miriad of frightening images,all too un-real.Unreal? You bet,meaning what we're seeing on television,and hearing on the radio from these manic-media talkbots is only hype,fear and paranoia.Meaning also,that I refuse to have any part of this all-too-real drama.

As much as I prefer to live in my imagination 24 hours a day.I still live in the real world,and unless I begin to see bodies dropping in the streets from this suppossed flu.Like something from the seventies "omega man",or "something out of "the andromeda strain".Then.I'll choose to think different thoughts.My own thoughts,thank you.

I'm not sure when it actually started,but our present day media are beginning to sound like my former shrink.When I'd decided to save my hard-earned bucks and,didn't need that dependency anymore.It was "take a hike charlatan"."I'll take a walk in nature."Away from the big city.Feel the strength of the woods.Gather up my thoughts,and walk out saying " it's cool-all is well".

Having heard that if there was an honest journalist,"if he told the truth ,instead of repeating scripted words from a teleprompter"."He'd be out of a job",and we all know of that scary horror in the news today.Look at the truth.The boston globe,owned by new york's rupert murdoch dosen't have any oppossing point of view in their paper,and is in serious danger of facing the ax.The newspapers in turkey for instance.Have one half the newspaper actual facts,and the other for the people to comment on.Meaning criticism.We have started to lose honest debate in this country.The ability to criticize,and are victims of political correctness.A kind of cultural communism.

Another thing that peeves me is all the negativity that's out there"oh.oh it's the economy" "if only the economy was better"-"it'll get better"."I've never felt hostage to a job ,except now""now's not the time".-Really? For people who think for themselves,and turn all the negatives into positives."One of the five commandments of" hulkamania "brother."

Now i'm going to believe a scientist,before I'm going to put my trust in either a politician,or some mainstream media-bot.

As we grow closer to 2010,or even closer to when the mayan's predicted on their calanders.The year 2012.It would be the end of the world?-Really?Didn't they already prognosticate this with the direct planet alignment of 1988,and the hysterical false flag fear of the year 2000's "y2k worldwide computer malfunctions"?

Both proved to be untrue like almost any other-fear based caution.In the past week or so,You'd see mayor bloomberg on the telly saying"there's no reason for concern"or "president obama telling us to go on with our lives".While the director of homeland security seemed to be saying".We are working on a vaccine for this".Well keep it away from me.Besides I never liked shots.These may not be the exact words of the plight,but you get the gist of it.

Whether it's a salmonella outbreak of your favorite peanut butter,sars,the avian bird flu,or mad cow.I guess in my naiveat'e I'd thought the powers that be, had my back covered.No,it is each individual who needs to read all food product labels.And each person,or loved ones covering his/her backs that will finally end this exaggerated version of an invisible boogie man.The "boogie man" of the wwe was much more entertaining anyway.

There are only two sections I read in the newspapers anymore,the sportspage,or the arts/film section.Always good when you need to spontaneously check out a great movie.The ONLY good reason.Let me get this straight.If you mention the secret word "terrorism" in any wrong area,at any wrong time.You could be subject to an arrest.But if the talking heads-style media decide to work the country up in a panic.They face no penalties for perjury-(lying).

My older brother who used to room with a guy named bob peters,who I also know.Has become quite well known,and is the head of an organization called "morality in media".Now I'm no moralist by any means.Never telling anyone how to run their own life,but having grown up catholic made me have somewhat of a conscience.I also wish the media would have one.It would make for a much better world.

In the immortal words of "dragnet's" joe friday"just the facts maam".

"HOTEL DISTORTION"

If you surf around this site to the artwork page.You'll see a promotional poster for a sleeper,independent screwball comedy called "hotel distortion".A ninety minute feature film? movie actually.It was actually shot on digital video to get technical.

The reason I'm mentioning it is.Although very interesting,offbeat,and definately funny.It is in reality ,clearly not for everyone.It is on this very website blog that you will know about it further.

Now let's talk about the graphic novel version of it.The work that's in the three quarter finished stages.Some indy graphic novels are made into feature films.Ghostworld,and american splendor.Two very good ones quickly come to mind.Now usually it's always the graphic novel first,and the movie comes next to complete its creative metamorphasis.

This time the roles are reversed,and the low-budgeted "hotel distortion"was in this case,made first.For anyone out there interested.It's the movie-length graphic novel,checking in at around at least seventy to eighty pages.It will also have a photo gallery,and perhaps a small story of the making of this indy.That will be coming soon to a graphic novel supplier near you.Most likely at midtown comics,and other stores soon to be named. Again,on this very website blog.

Only this is a pretty much 360 degree turn from "the mysterious woodsman".That one was a costumed adventure superhero epic,with a twist.(synopsis also on artwork page.)

Hotel distortion is basically a sexier,profanity-laden,kinky even,over-the-top journey of a manhattan painter.Who after appreciating his new digs(apartment).Starts to become upstaged by the many colorful characters inhabiting its many various hotel rooms.Are these freaky miscreants ghosts?You would think so.A young man by the name of bo mccann encounters an unscrupulous landlord who after painter bo gets behind in rent.Is given his quick eviction notice,and is asked to leave within the week.There is another antagonist that lives only two doors down.Given the nickname of "freaky"that causes bo to quickly realize he's not in cheap rent heaven anymore,and becomes quickly repulsed by the sight of his nosyness.

Now hotels are a very universal "slice of life",that many of us know about already.Along with cab drivers,(there's one in there-relax!),and cops.Who are also in the graphic.

This upcoming endeavor will be yours trulys(raf's) second graphic novel withcoming.Expected to be coming out in the summer of 2009.Many of the scenes that weren't in the movie.Will be in the graphic novel.Which probably works better as an epic-length comic,than a feature film anyway.Fans out there-you decide.With the independent already completed and currently under construction,it will be unveiled at a later date.Please check back for updates on this very blog(site).For sure,it has a john watersish quality,(yes.THAT fine filmmaker!)and one day may possibly be viewed as a cult classic.Just as soon as I get all the bugs out of it.

Movie or graphic novel?To tell the truth.The graphic novel holds up better visually.As certain parts of the movie were severely limited by budget constrictions.

Why should anyone consider buying a graphic novel of a movie that never came to theaters,except screenings?Good question,very good question.In the coming months,watch for scenes,and snippets.Or outtakes from the actual.We have some great ones that would match any of the excellent ones in"grumpy old men"#1.I hate sequels!Wanna watch cult fans?Then,you decide.Fair enough?

Because at cinematic.We think outside the box,and do things a bit differently around here.

The movies good,different,and is like I said not for everyone.But it will make you laugh often.If again,offbeat humor is your thing.Arlene's grocery right here in the city called it a residence hotel full of john waters-esque characters","love the scene of the masked man making it with his inflatable",but as i mentioned before .It will be the graphic novel

No matter where you seem to go today.The internet,reality fluff,television,movies,music.Especially online.You'll witness swarms of wanna be's trying to be stars.

Who's to blame? Our misinformation experts.The mainstream media,of course.In my misguided opinion it's the truth and only but the truth.That isn't being told,my dear friends.Now,i'm not the type of person who enjoys to pop anyone's bubble (dream).
There are plenty of others who might oblige you dreamseekers with that.

Something in this crazy matrixlike system.Has to be changed,and soon.For it's not an ideal one by any stretch.Why you ask? Because it's time we separated the truly talented from the untalented ,and have the courage.Like simon cowell,to expose these rampaging posers...before it's too late.

The fraud that's called modern day mainstream media entertainment.Is beginning to resemble the line willy loman spouted in miller's "death of a saleman"..."put on a good front and the world's yours".Really?Perhaps only the world of reality television.Which has watered down reality to a nightmare i'm pinching myself to wake up from.

To each his/her own but, i'd prefer never to see another ugly episode of of america's favorite bachelor,the (un)real world,those excruciating dating and cooking shows.You can like this to ripley's "believe it or not".This question was pre-answered.I'd rather not believe it.Problem is,all too often.People out there still do.

Critical thinking to me is a sign of an evolved person.The ability to decifer and analyze information.Spoonfed like sugar to us daily.Again,it's not like sports competition.Where the strongest,most athletic,fastest,most competitive.Who play best under pressure,get a spot on the team.Not to bilk too much about sports,but at least in that system.The cream rises to the top more,and that's fair.

Life isn't fair.Andy warhol's famous words he warned us of."In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes".A prophecy that paris hilton,joe the plumber,the octomom must have had advance notice on.

Now that's not to say that any pre-quarter of an hour talents out there are all bad.There are many,many phenominal mini-vids/movie shorts on "you tube" that i've watched .That have humbled me many times.With their low-to-moderate bidgeted brilliance.

Admitting that you want to be the next "american idol" is the first step to correction.If we as a society are going to correct this virus called "my ego".Not getting down on the real stars out there.You know who you are,and have real value.

What we need are x-ray glasses to expose the shape-shifting humaliens posing as real stars.I for one would be relieved.

Remember the commercials of the early nineties ?The ones with bunches of " tweens"(i.e.teenagers,and younger) of many countries across the world saying "are you ready".This , of course was repeated by the smiling teens several times throughout this commercial.What were they talking about?-You said to yourself-i did.What they were speaking about was the internet. The www.-----.com generation that was coming.

It was those early days.Around 1994 or so.Correct me if i'm wrong,bit i'm not very big on trivia.Nor does it matter.

What matters is the instantaneous power of getting your voice across.Where in times past,you couldn't .Think about it?You can reach any country.Any milli-second.Antarctica anyone?Time seems to stand still.You can either socially network.Or in a more serious mode.Push your expanding business across the horizon even.Plugging in to very similar voices across the world wide web.Who may be specifically seeking your expertise on a certain subject.Maybe you just want to entertain.Get your philosophy across.

Oh yeah.You can also make money.A ton of it.Depending on what business,and how much you either market,or advertize.All
from the use of modern technology.You can also develop a fan base.Especially in comics.Be a cult figure.Or an underground misanthrope.You can educate.

Now whatever business you're in.Mine just happens to be comics,and graphic novels,and collectible fanboy/fangirl stuff.Which means for me ,being a creative type.To not try to get into promoting anything that doesen't interest me.Nor other peoples products i neither believe in.Or have no enthusiasm for.Patience is also needed for naturally impatient types like myself.Rome wasn't built in a day.Neither is a website.Expanding your site takes many hours,hard work, discipline,knowing some technology.Keeping fans ,or appreciators coming back through updating,and spring cleaning your hip website all throughout the year.With fresh content that all the new surfers out there appreciatte.All the new hipsters.

We are now in 2009.Almost to the first decade of the twenty first century.It is my belief.That with the advent of the internet.It's unlimited knowledge,and information pallet.That people will be living longer by surfing the net/web.

Why my friends?You must keep that ol' brain alive!True,it can be addictive and time consuming.Myself,because my computer clock's in turnaround.I constantly put my cell phone next to my monitor to see how long I've been surfing,reading,typing online.Whatever happened to wallclocks?

The important thing is after you've fired up the morning's folgers coffee,(I prefer nescafe classico' actually,but that's just me) and not to get distracted by that beautiful mourning dove happily cooing on your air conditioner.Enjoying your emails,maybe your sportspage(if you do like sports).Talk about time consuming!Weeding out the spam from the good.Possibly watching all the moneymaking vids you may be listening to.Update your search engines keywords,and surf..surf....surf.Never admit how many times you've visited all those bigfoot sites.

There's a big ,beautiful internet world out there.With something for everyone.No matter age,mindset.Keep it positive,and interesting ,my good friends.

Having started a bit late.I now write blogs for anyone caring to read them.The way i look at life.This is the way i get back from all those short,short emails.That to me, will never replace a letter.Or maybe,the romance of it.Holding it in your hands,and looking at it.Possibly many times more than your willing to admit,and those emails?You can always print them out-can't you.(did ya' like that little wrap up at the end?)-I sure did.It's a bit late,but i hope everyone had a happy st. patty's day.Even though that theatre crowd blew me off...on that invite for my first irish breakfast.Oh,there's always next year.Hope springs eternal.I'm going to be leaving you w/ a few winterish pics of our fair city.

COMICS IN AMERICA HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR A LONG TIME.YOU NEEDN'T HAVE READ THE ADVENTURES OF KAVALIER AND KLAY TO FIND THIS OUT.THOUGH IT IS SUGGESTED.SUPPOSSED TO BE AN EXCELLENT BOOK THAT I HAVE LYING AROUND HERE SOMEWHERE IN MY CRIB (I.E.-APARTMENT) THAT I'LL HAVE TO GET TO SOMETIME...DETAILS....DETAILS.

THIS PARTICULAR TIME PERIOD.OH, I DON'T KNOW 1938-1939 OR SO,WAS THE BEGINNINGS OF THE COMICBOOK.COMIC STRIPE WERE AROUND SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE,BUT DON'T QUOTE ME ON THIS.NOW,AROUND THE TIMES OF THE FIRST(GREATEST) KING KONG MOVIE STARRING FAY WRAY ABOUT A RAY HARRYHAUSEN GIANT GORILLA WHO AFTER BEING CAPTURED,AND ESCAPES TO TIMES SQUARE (GOOD OL' NYC) TO PRETTY MUCH GO COMPLETELY BESERK ON MANHATTAN WAS THE TIME THAT A COUPLE OF YOUNG DREAMERS NAMED JERRY SEIGEL(WRITER) FROM THE MIDWEST AND JOE SIEGEL(ARTIST) TEAMED TOGETHER TO CREATE PROBABLY THE GREATEST SUPERHERO THAT WAS TO BECOME "SUPERMAN" FOR A COMPANY NAMED D C COMICS.

BOB KANE'S "BATMAN" WOULD COME A FEW YEARS LATER (AGAIN,DON'T QUOTE ME ON THIS).DON'T KNOW ACTUAL YEAR RIGHT NOW.THEN A COMPANY NAMED TIMELY COMICS.WHICH WAS LATER TO BE CALLED ATLAS,THEN MARVEL AS WE KNOW IT WAS TO COME OUT.AROUND THE BEGINNINGS OF WORLD WAR TWO A GRAND NEW SUPERHERO CREATED BY THE ASTOUNDING,PROLIFIC JACK "KING" KIRBY,AND JOE SIMON.THAT WOULD GIVE AMERICA A NEW HERO TO FIGHT THE NAZI'S WITH,AND WOULD LATER SELL OUT OF IT'S FIRST ISSUE.IN OTHER WORDS.WOULD BE A COMPLETE SUCCESS.JACK KIRBY'S ART(ALWAYS GREAT) WOULD DEVELOP/EVOLVE EVEN FURTHER.WHICH WOULD EXPLAIN THAT BY THE EARLY SIXTIES .WHEN ,HE CREATED BASICALLY THE WHOLE MARVEL UNIVERSE.THAT HE AT THIS TIME HAD NO PEERS IN COMIC ART.THE ARTISTS AND WRITERS OF THAT TIME WERE SOME OF THE MOST TALENTED,AND HARDEST WORKING PEOPLE IN ANY BUSINESS.THEY WOULD BASICALLY WORK FOR LOW PAGE RATES.BUT,STILL WAS ENOUGH TO SUPPORT THEIR FAMILIES IN A BUSINESS THAT THEY LOVED.THAT I STILL LOVE.EVEN THOUGH PAINTING IS COOL TOO.MONEY DID GO MUCH FURTHER IN THOSE DAYS .SO IT'S ALL GOOD.

UNFORTUNATELY, A LOT OF THAT LOVE IS MISSING FROM TODAY'S COMICBOOKS-WHAT?-HAVEN'T I MENTIONED THIS BEFORE?PROBABLY HAVE.REGARDLESS,MORE AND MORE COMICBOOK STORES ARE UNDER THE GUN AND ARE FACING EXTINCTION LIKE THE JURASSIC ERA.MANY MILLION YEARS BACK.APARENTTLY.THOUGH HOW COULD SCIENTISTS KNOW THE ACTUAL DATES ON THIS IS BEYOND ME.

ANYWAY,WHERE DOES THIS ALL LEAVE US,MY DEAR FRIENDS?WE ARE POSSIBLY AT THE FADING CROSSROADS OF PULPDOM(COMICS).IT'S THE FANS WHO ARE MOSTLY NUCLEAR CHILD/BABY BOOMER TYPES.THE ONES WHO GREW UP LOVING/READING THIS STUFF.THAT ARE NOW KEEPING THIS ORIGINAL USA BUSINESS AFLOAT.PLEASE REFER TO CAPTAIN AMERICA.

THE BIG REASON FOR THIS BOOOOM IN COMICS.WAS FROM ONE MAN AND ONE MAN ONLY MR.(GOD REST HIS HALLOWED SOUL) JACK KIRBY'S HERCULEAN INFLUENCE/PRESENCE.A MAN BEING SO PROLIFIC AS TO JUGGLE THREE MONTHLY BOOKS(WRITING AND DRAWING).PLUS A SLEW OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COVERS ANY ART APPRECIATOR WOULD PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR.TRUST ME.

TODAY YOU HAVE VERY LITTLE OF THAT.EXCEPT FOR PAUL GULACY,LADRONN,STEVE RUDE,AND FRANK MILLER.EXCEPT THAT FRANK'S GONE HOPELESSLY "HOLLYWOOOD".NOT THAT THAT'S BAD BUT PLEASE COME BACK TO COMICS.AT LEAST ONCE AND A WHILE! THE TALENTED MR. MILLER IS NOW STARTING TO REMIND ME OF THE SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE MEMBERS .WHO LEAVE AFTER BEING ON THE SHOW FOR A YEAR FOR MOVIES.OR LIKE FORMER WWE SUPERSTARS HULK HOGAN,JESSE VENTURA OR THE ROCK FOR CELLUOID FILMDOM.

WHAT I'M TRYING TO BE DIRECT ABOUT IS.THERE ARE NO JACK KIRBYS.AN INDIVIDUAL WHO CAN INJECT PURE GENIUS INTO A MONTHLY BOOK TITLE.

WHAT MY DEEP ,UNDERLYING FEAR IS.IS THAT THAT SPECIAL ONCE AND A LIFETIME,SO SPECIAL SILVER AGE TIME.(MORE ON MY LOVE OF NOSTALGIA LATER) WAS A ONCE,AND ONE-TIME ONLY THING.AT LEAST FOR TOTAL QUALITY,AND GREAT BANG FOR YOUR BUCK.

IT WOULD SEEM THAT YOU GET MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK FOR A BOOK OF COLLECTED WORKS.SINCE IF YOU MISSED A MONTH OR TWO,OF A SOAP OPERA,HILL-CLIMBER TYPE STORY.COLLECTED STORIES?FOR MOST AMERICANS READING A COMICBOOK ON THE SUBWAY IS STILL EMBARRASSING,BUT NOT FOR SOMEONE READING A GRAPHIC NOVEL?

GRAPHIC NOVELS DO SEEM THE FUTURE TO ME.IF THEY AREN'T THE FUTURE ALREADY.I HOPE I'M WRONG.NOVELS ARE MUCH EASIER TO STORE ,AND LOOK MUCH MORE ATTRACTIVE ON YOUR HOME BOOKSHELF.VERY SIMILAR TO THAT HITCHCOCK OR KUBRICK COLLECTION OF DVD'S.WITH GRAPHIC NOVELS SHINY GLOSSY LASER COLOR PAGES AND 20 PT. CARDSTOCK COVERS.THEY CERTAINLY MAKE THEIR PRESENCE KNOWN.

WILL IT BE MUCH LONGER TILL' COMICBOOKS AND COMIC COLLECTORS BECOME A THING OF THE PAST?
